Alignment Saturday, driver side rubbing at full lock.

Injectors finally out for delivery (Paid extra for Sunday 2/26. delivery)

 

Remaining outstanding parts, I just spoke to the parts guy he is waiting for the hose kit, it was in stock but he said Toyota only sends them by rail & it will be early next week until he has them.

 

Injectors!!!

 

IC coolant pump harness, reservoir & spark plugs came, all that is outstanding are the gaskets for the TB & coolant crossover & SC hose kit, all from Toyota supposed to come next week.

I wired up the harness & tested the pump, it runs!




Also, I have 2 S&B dry filters I forgot about so have a temporary solution if I can't get the AFE to work.





Also, a new AFE wet, don't know if it's big enough to attach. We'll see.

After front shock r&r alignment, shows touching the suspension moves the alignment.

 

IC pump installed. Ran the harness, verified function, disconnected the harness so it's not running. Waiting for the O rings to do the injectors & running the gas out before I can do the pump (tank has to be dropped)

 

Finished the IC hose routing. Waiting to do the reservoir until the SC is on, hoping the rest of the parts I'm missing come early in the week.

Went to lunch, came home, opened garage, apparently the door did not fully open, hit it.

Guy came, got it to close (barely) will return in the AM with a new door, rails, springs etc.

My wife knocked our door with the Flex. Only casualty was her pride & a loose rear window sprayer.

 

House & door are 20 years old. I have kept it working for at least 10 years (been sticking/malaligned etc.

I firmly believe this final fail was due to the warranty company refusing to replace both springs when a spring broke about 8 months ago.

 

Wow, we had a spring break on ours (unfortunately about 3 weeks before we sold).
Garage door company refused to replace just 1 spring.
Ours had the spring bar above the door opening, not the lengthwise springs along the tracks.

 

Yup, that is what I have. I asked how much if I pay for the second one & he did not have another.

 

I got the O rings from FIVE O, there are different ones than what I have & an extra. I asked 5-O without response, which do I use to replace the orange one I have on the injectors & where does the other one go?

 

The door is fixed.





He said the extra was to be sure I had the best one. The black seems best to me.



Belt routing sticker came.


The puller I got last week was not for our motors, I returned it & got both the right one & the 2.30 pulley to tune in case Sniv's is not ready yet.

The reservoir was backwards, the Vacuum hose needed to be tightened down, PVC needs to go to the catch can.

 

Do you have a basemap on it or are you parking it until the tune date?

Trying to find a shop to do the O2 bung has become a nightmare. I can't find a shop to do it, one I thought would just got this on Yelp:

I hate doing this but they literally just told me to go elsewhere. I called a bit over 2 weeks ago for a simple bung weld. Jose was nice and said call when you are ready. 2 days later I called, left a message, no response. Today I called, the same unfriendly person answered and I had the same conversation.


Me: May I speak to Jose, HER: unavailable do you want to leave a message. ME: I left a message 2 weeks ago, I'm still waiting. HER: He is busy. ME: Do you want my business? HER: you can leave a message or not, it's up to you. I left a message. As I had no response I just called, got Jose (because he was mad at me & wanted to break the case of who called) which screams she did not take my name or number.
He told me he does not want my business which is fine, I would not go there if he were giving work away.
I am glad you are so busy Jose, I suggest you won't be forever mistreating potential customers.
