I use my discretion. I would never turn away a car that's offered to me unless I don't think I can do anything (read: Benefit) from it. I make mistakes once in a while, but it's always something you learn and move on. I just had a customer call me with a transaction they were working with a GMC dealer for an Acadia to Finance. She has a lease on a 2008 Sienna XLE Limited AWD with Nav and DVD, 39k miles. She's over the mileage and still has about 9 months left on the lease. She wants to get out of the lease without paying a penny and get into the Acadia. The car has high miles for its year, needs tires, a windshield and has some blemishes around the car The numbers the dealer gave her didn't make a whole lot of sense, and the price they were buying/paying off the van is within $1k to what it's worth. In my experience, newer cars with higher miles I go nowhere with. Especially something as expensive as this Sienna. I passed on the opportunity, but told her if the dealer starts screwing around I'll see what I can do to make it happen. I let her down gently, she appreciated my help and will be in touch with me. I have to do what I have to do sometimes..

Damn, you move a lot of C300s. Is it the attractive lease deals?

Yep...typical car under $400/month with (tax incl) minimal out of pocket? Not bad. I did a bunch of deals this month that were single pay leases (pay the entire lease upfront), numbers work out to be a LOT less than a standard lease..

How do these upfront leases work? Would love to pick up a FX as a DD. What if you drive off the lot and wreck it. People always say that you should put as little down on a lease as possible.

It's stipulated in the lease that you would get back the balance of the payments.

What color was his C300? Can't tell if its black or blue. The one below it looks like Capri Blue. It amazes me that Benz still makes the C300 "luxury". Seems that 90% of the Cs are the sport version.

The pic with the customer was a black/black sport with the heated seats and UMI cheapie nav. The other pic in front of my office is capri blue with the beige interior, base car. I did a few other Blacks and one Steel Grey in the last few days too. I personally think Palladium Silver and Steel Gray are my two favorite colors for this car. Most of the cars I do are sport models. Of the many I've done recently, only 2-3 of them were luxury models (I delivered a black/black luxury last night too)..

I would have to work up numbers to see what the C63's are doing these days. I haven't worked one up lately. As for the pre-owned, I have to look around to see what I can find..

How 'bout this? 36 months/10k miles, tax and bank fee included, 1st payment waived - total due at signing only the dmv/plate fee (in this case $275) - $250/month

Meanwhile, the car has been taking a 4-5 year beating from your average no-care/low-care owner. New vs. used is a no-win situation unless you happen to stumble on that rare used car that seemed to be in a bubble the whole time, which doesn't happen often.

There is also no radio, they take forever to heat up in the winter, and the AC is actually a little dash-mounted fan. I hate driving them.

I am willing to bet that new 2011 c63 lease is one of the ugliest lease out there. I am guessing around $1200 a month with about $3-4k down.

That's an awesome deal on the Jetta. The only problem I would have is the milage limit per year. How much does the monthly payment go up if I wanted 15k miles a year?

The 2 that I have to offer (about 15 posts up), I don't have firm numbers yet, but I'm going to say somewhere in the $29k-$30k range is what I'm going to be looking to sell them for. Mind you, the cars are selling in the auctions with the mileage I have in the $29k ballpark. So I'm selling these cars retail, at wholesale prices.

The line forms here
