^ I believe he owns a small dealership, and also a broker.... that's why he is able to get any car he wants instead stuck with one brand.
Shoof, any special lease on RR? I know east coast and west coast has different lease program, but like to get an idea. My guess is going to be around $2500 down $750-900?

I'm a used car dealer and new car broker. I can lease/finance/sell just about any car sold in the US. I'd love to be a new car dealer, but NY State law only allows franchise dealers to be "new car" dealers

Damn, I thought RR stood for Rolls Royce
But good to see that business is going well for you. That MDX looks like a tight fit there.

That's cheap....When they first came out they were closer to 1900-2000/month for the 4S (V8) model. They had some great deals on the 2010 leftovers but now we are only working on '11's. An '11 4S is something like 1400-1550 for a $106k car.

Shoofin, I appreciate taking your time write that information for me... Looks like you are doing well yourself with pushing lot of units out. When I was working at an Audi dealership, we used audi financial or US bank over here in LA.
I can't say that US always gives the best rate, but in some cars, they sure did better than any other banks.

I had the chance to drive a new Cayenne last week at work and it's MUCH better than the first generation. I was impressed.

The Cayenne is the first and only Porsche that my mom would drive. I'm hoping she gets one so I can be her chaffeur

Love the new Cayenne, hate how every single imaginable thing on the car is optional. There have to be at least 100 options. I remember watching a segment on Cnet about how its possible to spend more $ on options and packages for the Cayenne than the base price of the car itself.

Shoofin, got a question:
If you sell to someone outside NY, how does the sales tax work? Meaning selling it, then delivery out of state?

If it's a purchase, you also pay the tax whatever state/country you live in. If you're in NY state, I register the car for you. If you're out of state, I can send out the stuff to register the car, but most of the time I just give the customer all the paperwork needed to go to their local dmv and register the car themselves. If that happens, I issue an "In-Transit" temporary tag that's good for 30 days so the owner can register the car.

If it's a lease, the tax for where you live is charged and structured into the lease (or paid upfront).

Thanks for the reply. I'll keep you in mind when I venture back to the land of the groped to live (I'm originally from Rochester).

New Cayenne front looks much better, my brother has a 2004 Turbo and I got to drive it back from Miami to NYC. Amazing drivetrain and brakes, doesn't feel like it's almost 5K pounds. Nice the new one went on a serious diet and lost ~400 pounds.

In NY you are only paying tax on the monthly. Only thing is, in NY you can put it in the payments or pay or pay it upfront. Tax sucks though, it's 8.625% in Nassau/Suffolk County and 8.875% in the 5 boroughs.
