Hi Eric
Since the thread got bumped, here's the most recent photo. Currently awaiting for a battery tender to arrive as it wouldn't start on Sunday
I drove it 40 miles on Friday with no issue, then on Sunday it tried to crank, but didn't have enough juice to completely start. I'm hoping I can charge it up a bit and it'll be alright. This purchase was long overdue anyway, as the S2000 sits around a lot and I just put a new battery in it, even though it was less than 5 years old.

Edit: Woof, not sure what happened to the resolution of the photo. Looks fine on my phone

CL needed a new main relay, properly diagnosed by @civicdrivr . Got a fresh battery installed, along with an alignment, and she's good to go

I abandoned my OEM+ roots and got a Revel (Tanabe) Medallion Touring-S exhaust. I traded my stock exhaust plus a hilariously low amount of cash and couldn't be happier.

A week after the install, it was time for the second annual Tail of the Dragon weekend with some Acurazine members. Unlike last year, I was able to finally drive the Dragon and had a great time. It was rather cold in the morning, but warmed up nicely as the days went on.

I was certainly one of the slowest vehicles in our group, but still had a killer time.

Proof that I actually drove the Dragon this year :rofl

Just hit 155k the day after getting home from the trip.

I'm hoping to get some new items for the car before next year's trip, listed below, but we'll see what happens.
-Ohlins Coilovers
-Eibach F/R Sway Bars
-New Set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
-New Differential Mounts

Mmmm....I should update my thread.
Threw some new shoes on mine and MAN, what a difference a quare setup makes in how the car drives.
I'm in love all over again.

My fenders done been rolled...rears have tab relocated and fronts...well, I rolled so well I might have slightly pulled but it doesn't look bad.
I won't muddy up Tyler's thread with talks of an S2000 that still has the original motor though. Let me double check if I have my own S2K thread.
Probably

I bet that tramlines like fucking crazy now lol. People put squares on GT350s and I can't imagine how horrible that is on the street. The stock fronts tramline all over, the wider rears would be so much worse.

Indeed it was. You should attend.

Honestly haven't driven the car since I got back from The Dragon
Finally gave it a good clean this past weekend. Love when it's 70 degrees in December.
Got the CL clean too.

We can probably also cram about 3 more people into the existing housing situation as long as people are not opposed to sleeping on couches or air mattresses on the floor.
We actually might end up with 3 trips being planned to the Dragon this year. There has always been some interest over the years in a spring trip, many have wanted the Fall trip moved earlier in the year to be warmer, and I have also for some time now wanted to be able to make it to Classic Hondas at the Dragon event.

Oh, that would 100% be the plan. Screaming that thing along for 15 hours would be detrimental to the car & driver. Unless I had the time to take a couple days each way & take the scenic route & non-highway routes to keep it to sane RPMs.
I just meant it's a 15hr shot in normal conditions, probably add a bit of extra time to it with the Midge in tow.

lap is comfy until about 3am.
not sure if I'm dreaming of Samantha Fox or just urine pressing on the ole prostate but around that time, prepare for some hard wood.

Howdy.
A real surprise to absolutely no one here...the car is still very stock
But here are some updates.
A new set of PS4S were just put on. These things are heavenly.

After experiencing some brake fade on the Tail of the Dragon last year, I decided to try aftermarket brake pads for the first time. 100% do NOT recommend these. The initial bite is much worse than the OEM pads I previously had. I'm disappointed and will likely swap these out before the next trip.

I did an oil change, replaced differential and transmission fluids, and replaced the two differential mounts as well. One of the rear mounts was completely torn. New mounts helped remedy an occasional shudder I'd encounter on acceleration.

A new Robbins top was finally installed after having the rear window broken for nearly 18 months. This was quite the process.

It's time to hit the road

We were in good company at the lodge for dinner

We drove a lot. I ended at just under 1,100 miles in four days. Keep in mind we weren't on the highway very much.

A few from the local photographers who are positioned on the side of TOTD for photos.

Note that this trip ended only four days before Hurricane Helene absolutely devastated these areas. We stopped in Asheville two times; on the way and on the way back. Really sad to see the damage out there

Well, I bought another Honda, but not what you're thinking
2025 Honda Foreman Rubicon. This a foot-shift model, not a DCT. I had to wait nearly 2 months for it, as this specific color with the foot-shift is currently the only one in both North and South Carolina
I'm going to start hitting some trails with some friends and of course being that neighbor and ride it around the neighborhood with the kids.

Thank you!Thank you, Jason! Indeed...crazy times.
