Newer gen Taco? by then the old one will likely be worth the same as a new one.
Also, you has no spacers on the S2K? or only on the rear?

Garage is looking fuck-worthy.

I started a new job last February where I stare at a computer screen all day. As much as I love Acurazine, doing the same once I got home didn't sound too appealing I'd log in now and again to check on specific threads, but never posted.

My daughter was born last April, during peak-COVID, which was quite an experience. She's walking on her own now which is awesome!

Naw, I want a full-size truck next. Tundra is the most likely, but I do like the newer F-150s that some family members have.

15mm front, 17mm rear on the S2000. Could probably fit a 20mm in the rear since the fenders are rolled.

Thank you sir! Yeah...quite the experience last year. My wife had some choice words for the staff when we arrived to the maternity ward and they're interrogating her with questions before being admitted

Mine did too. She said that was the longest 30 minutes ever to get test results.

It was consensual.
Plus, he identifies as a cop so it would be entrapment.

Hello

I finally reached 150k miles two nights ago. 55k miles since purchase in July 2015, which equates to roughly 7,850 miles per year, but I've only done roughly 4,000 miles per year over the last three years with my career change and working from home more often.

I missed a few fill-ups in the first few months I had the car, but here's the Fuelly profile: https://www.fuelly.com/driver/tylers2000

As usual, the car hasn't changed much. In April I replaced all engine and transmission mounts. The clutch master cylinder developed a nasty leak, so that was replaced with an OEM piece, along with a stainless steel clutch line.

I also replaced the factory A/C knobs which started to get chalky and sticky over time. In direct sunlight, these would literally start to sweat. Before:

New OEM pieces:

After:

At C&C earlier in the month:

And that's it I'll likely change the oil soon, as it was last done 1,500 miles ago back in November. I think some local guys are planning a Tail of the Dragon trip this fall, which will be my first time going

Below is the latest project, getting my garage together. I have a large shed in my backyard, which houses most tools and lawn equipment. I'm not completely done with it, but I'd say it's 90% there. Just need to button up a few more little things like cord management for the freezer and mini-fridge on the left side. Six new dual-LED light fixtures (upgraded from 2 flourescent fixtures), Swisstrax flooring, Gladiator cabinets, Gladiator "GearWall" panels with hooks, and a ceiling-mounted 100' cord reel. Items like the air compressor and toolbox were at the old house too.

I'm happy with the progress in the three years since we moved in:

The Tacoma just broke 216k miles and the RX 350 is at 80k miles. The original (2011!) battery in the Tacoma finally needed replacing in November, and I did a list of maintenance items once it hit 200k: spark plugs, brake fluid flush, coolant flush, diff flush, oil change, alignment, tire balance, and some other items, to keep it running. The plan is to get a new generation Tundra eventually. We've already replaced two tires on the RX within 2 years due to nails in the sidewall. The other two have roughly 50k miles and likely need to be replaced soon, but no other large maintenance issues there, other than it's always filthy The unlimited-mileage warranty through the OEM CPO program has been great. I highly recommend if you or a family member drive quite a bit.

I hope everyone has been doing well!

Fuelly - Those are better em pee gees than I get in the Malibu
The 'Bu is cheap to run, but she's thirsty for a mid-size econobox. Oddly, the V6 Malibu gets the same or better MPG in the real world.

I don't know if I'm more impressed with the 150k miles/average MPG of the S2000 or the garage organization/design. Well done on both!

I got my first Tracksculptures wood mural from the girls for Father's Day. Still deciding where I want to start that series at the new house. Thinking on the back porch
Not sure how far I can sell an automotive/motorsports motif to the wife.

Fantastic Update, Tyler.
Love the care and tracking you have for your vehicles.
You know I'm jealous of your garage.
A suggestion I would make is to move that cabinet you have over your toolbox...bring the other 2 tight to it and have a piece of wood
or butcher block ( @SamDoe1 ) cut to fit on top of it...then put a piece of wood across the 2 tall cabinets where you mount a light and
fan...you'll find that space SUPER usable when you're tinkering on shit...

I kinda created a space like that on my new to me toolbox and MAN I do all my own stunts on that thing!

Just an idea, I love watching you (slowly) put this thing together.

I'm honestly surprised by that I figured you'd be closer to 30-mpg.

Those murals are awesome. The garage is the only space where I have complete authority Take what you can get!

The local Acura dealership hosted an Acura/Honda meet this past Saturday, so myself and a few other Acurazine members attended. I like getting everywhere early, so it was a bit chilly with the top down on the highway at 6:20am No ragrets.

Haven't driven it all this week since - it's been raining everyday it seems

Even on a 12 hr road trip, it only hit 29.9mpg. For a mid-size 4cyl it's surprisingly poor. I average 22 overall.

at this point, i rate cars at how much money to go 200 miles.
S2000 wins by sheer tiny gas tank size

I only get 2.5 MPG less than that in my Tacoma

Thank you!

Happened a few weeks ago, but got a bolt in the Tacoma's rear passenger tire - you can see it at about 9:00 in the photo below. Sadly the puncture was too large to plug, so I had to buy another tire. Ended up doing two since the other tires are over half worn Then while waiting for the tires to arrive, 3 of the 4 TPMS sensors died. They were original to the truck, so after ~11 years and 216k miles, it was just time.

I just pulled a 3" screw out of one of the Malibu tires. Luckily, a skinny shank & was easily plugged.
Went to get gas & milk last night & had 11psi in it.
Must've picked it up on Friday afternoon, as the car didn't move all weekend.

Such a pain Luckily this was a slow leak and I have an air compressor in the garage, so I was able to drive around for about a week once I filled it up in the morning.

I threw my floor jack, plug kit, and pancake compressor in the trunk. Did it in our office warehouse at lunch. It was 9PM when I found it last night, didn't want to fire up the comressor then. Luckily there was enough air in the tank to get me from 11 to 35 psi. Was down to 31 this morning & held for the commute.
Plugged now & holding pressure.

Took a long weekend and headed to the mountains to finally tackle Tail of the Dragon, roughly 4 hours west of me. There was a togue event going on that weekend, so we opted to wait until Monday to drive the road for less traffic. Sadly there was a motorcycle accident on Sunday - the bike caught on fire and nearly 100 acres burned. The road was completely closed Sunday evening and all day Monday to contain the fire Another trip is in order I suppose. Still had a great time and the other roads in the area were absolutely incredible. Hit 152k miles on the way home.

Thanks to @CCColtsicehockey for extending the invitation for this trip and to @97CL_NC1102 for these two killer shots of the car.

rolling shot make my pipi move.
I'm so glad you hit up that trip, I would have liked to have joined you but as you know, stars didn't align.
So glad you had a ball though, fantastic shots...especially the rolling water shot. Love it.
S2000 is sitting perfectly, we are basically identical looking!

Looks like an awesome adventure. Hilarious how tiny the S2k is even compared to a M2 which we all consider to be a small car.
