TL or MDX? What should I buy?
Hello Acurazine! I have been gone for a couple of years and am back to a completely redesigned site!
I used to have a 1st gen TL a few years ago, and now I have one again.... 96 2.5TL with 233K miles!
I am in the market for different car and I can't make my mind up between the 05 MDX (with NAV & RES) or a 04-05 TL 6 speed with nav. I want a fun car (TL) but I live in WI and SUV's are so practical! Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I won't be hauling anything but I really like the MDX. My aunt and my mom both have one and I think it's one of the most versatile SUV's out there. It gets good mpg's for a 7 passenger and is fairly loaded. I also like the fact that if I need to I can get 6 people in there with their luggage..
Another problem is we have very bad roads here, there are potholes all over the place and the MDX will also provide a better ride.
BUT the TL is a lot more fun to drive!
I was also taking a look at:
04 G35
06 M45
06 GS430
04 530i
04-06 TSX 6sp nav
After taking a look at all of those, I decided to get something with better gas mileage. I haven't completely ruled out the TSX though.

I probably will not get anything that is CPO because I have ties at the auction. I can pick something up from the Acura Financial sale for a reasonable price and I trust Acura.. I'm not a huge fan of the 05 + RL; I always wanted the one previous but it didn't have enough go for a big sedan. I always stuck with TL's.

Without any kids, pets, regular hauling needs, or other commitments requiring the space, I'd definitely prefer a car over truck/SUV any day, for a variety of reasons!
Also, with gas prices the way they are and the economy in the States, an SUV will lose value faster and might be harder to sell down the road than a car.
