I have to admit that the old women driving the supercars were kinda funny...

The fact that they don't have a segment devoted to reviewing a new car kind of leaves the show without a point. It's just the three knuckleheads on this week's car-adventure, interrupted by a celebrity guest drive and interview.

^^

This is why USA is not an auto enthusiast show.

Well what do you know, they copied TGUK ... modifying a car and taking someone to an awards show in it. Whole episode was boring imo.

TGUS sucks. This should be the last season.

This one was a bit boring, but the previews for next week looked promising

If anything, this show is just a filler between getting home from work, eating, and then watching Justified.

This one was a bit lackluster. I went to sleep (literally--work has been kicking my ass lately) 45 minutes in last night and so I'll have to DVR it to figure out how it ended.

I had EXACTLY the same thought as ttribe as I was watching last night--where's the luxoexoticenthusiast car review? THAT needs to change ASAP. I like the adventures but I want to see reviews of cars that I will never be able to afford in my lifetime.....and a few enthusiast cars I CAN afford.

I think being limited to ~44 minute episodes is really killing the opportunity to test cars.

I'm sure they could cut out 16 non entertaining minutes episode long challenges to fit in a test or 2.

a few changes I would make:
  • Get rid of big star, small car segment, kind of a waste of 10 minutes.
  • Do more news
  • reduce the challenges to 15 minutes total, broken into three 5 minute segments at the beginning, middle, and end of the show.
  • Add more car reviews/individual time with each host.

  • Yes, I don't know who most of these people are anyway.
  • That would require Rut and Adam to know something about, uhm... cars.
  • That might be possible
  • See second bullet

2 good episodes out of, what 9 recently?

This week's show was very good! Since I like Rutledge, an all-Rutledge show was a good thing. The first two segments were awesome, the last was a little lame but still funny. The second segment was a variation of the recent TGUK segment in which the guys worked for a designated driver service.

The SIARPC interview was even decent.

25th show and I hope there are more!

I DVR'ed it and only watched the driving people home part.

Still, same exact thing TGUK did a while back..

I enjoyed this episode. I even lol'd at a few parts. Overall, best episode of the season IMO.

I know that doesnt mean much to those comparing this to TG:UK though.

I give up. I keep trying but even when they aren't stealing ideas from TG-UK, they just can't keep my interest for more than 15 minutes.

neuron-C'mon, rutledge is a d-bag.

I don't know if there is hope for this show to go on. If they are going to try another season, they need to do some revamping and get rid of Ferrara, the dude is NOT funny..

As long as we keep tuning in to "hopefully" catch a good show they'll stay around. The ratings don't care if you didn't like it, as long as you watched it.

Couldn't agree more. And in addition to his unwarrented ego, he is a poor driver.

I just think of it as a show with cars in it.

I'd rather watch this than all those stupid reality tv show. But that's not to say that they can't improve upon it.

I disagree. Rut is the most authentic of the three, or at least to me . I think Adam is the host who needs the most work.

I'd rather watch this than yet another contrived quasi reality show.

Rut seems comfortable, Tanner seems to fake it, and Adam is just annoying most of the time and clearly not a car guy.

When Rut flipped that truck...I was like, "OH SHIT!!!"

and that designated driver thing...that was all contrived, right? not everyone in San Fran owns an exotic car...

^ It had to be. The camera crew was always there before Adam or Rutt got there and they always knew exactly who called.

This episode wasn't bad. There were a decent amount of funny parts. Adam's Ram comment was funny.

So this was the best episode of the season, right?

The moment when Tanner lost control of the Noble M600 was priceless

The season does have some enteraining parts. Every episode that I've watched I think TGUK has already done that.

Top Gear USA returns for 16 episodes on Aug 14.... not that I expect anyone here to care. Gives me something to watch while waiting for TGUK

I think I already took TG USA off the DVR cue.

It's painful to watch.
