Tonight's ep is a waste unless you've missed episodes this season. It's a season wrap-up of the best segments, chosen by the hosts.

I'm turning it off since I've seen every episode, and many of you will too.

I'm seriously starting to hate Ferarra's introductions at the beginning of the show.

Same here. Turned on Shameless. Usually I catch the 11p encore of it, but TG was a waste tonight. Currently dl'ing EP1 of the new season of TG:UK though.

What a horrible way to end the season, I wonder how many people turned it off after 5 minutes, I did. How the hell do you do a "best of" one season... lame.

I turned it off after 3 minutes. And they need to work on some better intro thing imo, just kinda lame

I consider that Alaska episode to be the "season finale". There were not that many episodes, I can't believe they did a "clip" show. No worries, it was a nice way to keep us entertained while waiting for TGUK to start back up.

yeah that last episode I turned off right after it started. What a horrible decision to do a recap show for the season. Gonna have to check finalgear for the uk one.

Hopefully the adam corolla car show will be better than this show. Having corolla alone should make it better, but the production value and budget dsnt seem to be that good.

Interested to see both Carolla's car show and TG US season 2 turn out. If Top Gear continues to improve at the rate they're going, I think it'll be a great show.

I think Carolla's show will be better, simply because of the hosts (aside from that basketball guy)

Watching now.

tonight. Hoping for a better effort next week. No reviews, no news, just a solid hour of craptastic hauling stuff in Texas. Poorly edited to boot. Did the British Top Gear producer not help out with this episode?

Entertaining and a few laugh out loud moments.

If you're expecting a car show that is going to review the number of cup holders and trunk space watch Motor Week.

Top Gear (in the US and UK) is entertainment first and foremost and informative/instructional second.

Have yet to watch the first ep of season two....but I feel it will be more of the same.

It will feel forced, extremely scripted, and the lack of chemistry between the guys will be back in full force.

I only saw the first half hour last night, but it seemed like the chemistry has gotten a little better than the first season, it is still obviously scripted.

Call me optimistic, but I think this season will be better and more original.

I feel less uncomfortable watching this than I do the Car Show.

They definitely had more chemistry. Im disappointed last nights episode was only the challenge, and no news or anything else.

I am disappointed with the car show and top gear us. I guess it is just unrealistic to expect a US car show to be good. I really enjoyed the first 4 episodes of top gear uk season 17 tho. I honestly turned the first episode of TG US off because it was too boring and had nothing to do with cars.

hater...

i can name some great TG:UK episodes that did the same.

Now i'm not saying this show is on par with TG:UK, its not even close. But its like some of you come up with the stupidest excuses just to follow the crowd and say its a bad show.

I thought last nights was good compared to that of the first season. I see it as an improvement and am happy as a viewer.

I need to catch some of the new episodes. This show isn't bad, at least they talk about cars that were made here or are available here.

Honestly, those segments in TG UK where they interview British/Aussie celebrities and even sometimes stars in reasonably priced cars is boring as shit because I hardly ever know who the hell is on the show. I remember the interview of Brian Johnson (AC/DC) though, that was a good one.

Honestly if there never was a TG UK, we wouldn't have that high standard to compare it to. TG UK has been around for a LONG time, and I've seen some of their older shows.... the chemistry wasn't always there.

I haven't watched TG USA much (only two season 1 episodes) but what always bothered me with the Clarksonized TG UK was that it was more satire than serious. The bias is painfully obvious sometimes.

Watched the new TG USA the other night. I got about 15 minutes in before I fast forwarded through the cattle ranching segment. Oh that's right, that was the whole show. Yeah, won't be watching it anymore. I will watch The Car Show though because at least they actually review/test drive cars. The scripted, horrible "chemistry" of the Top Gear guys was unbearable for me. I didn't laugh once even though the entire show was supposed to be funny. Not good.

Never thought i would be bored watching a ZR1 vs 458 but sure enough they forced me to turn it off.

Ugh.
