TDI VW's ? thoughts?

anyone have an experience with the newer VW TDI models? im thinking of getting a loaded 2010+ wagon (TDI, manual, nav, leather, etc). mainly for fuel economy and utility. ill be doing a ton of driving the next year or so due to a new career opportunity. i figure i can get the TDI as a DD and get a toy for the summer.

it seems common that the TDI outperforms its MPG rating of 41 hwy to the mid 50's easily. some hypermilers get 60+ !

it really has me intrigued as they seem to be nice vehicles. thoughts?

I haven't heard a single bad thing about the TDI especially the new ones. And they are pretty nice too. I would definitely drive a wagon in \TDI.

Dude theres a sweet sunroof option on the wagon. Half the roof is glass. I'm calling on it tomorrow. It's a LOADED TDI wagon with a manual and only 3k miles.

My only concern is maintenance I've never owned a diesel.
