Thanks! Not much info about the event but since it's Lexus I'm hoping it will be nice.

I missed the mazda zoom zoom event so I hope to make this one.

If it's a similar format to last year's, there will be free hors d'evoures around lunch time and the event is simply a series of courses where you can drive various cars in the Lexus line-up back to back with the direct competition.

Anyone actually get their invite yet????

Have not received mine yet. Maybe I beat the cars up too bad the last three years?

I was lurking over at CL ... found the link and thought it would be nice to share the love. Over there, no one has found an invite yet ... and a little more than a month away before the first event. I wonder ... what gives?

The free hors d'evoures ALONE were worth the trip last time. But I got to drive my first hybrid (the rx400) and it was neat. Course was too short though.

i went to the one in chicago last year (arlington park). really nice. got a chance to drive the is350 before i bought it. the event is nothing special but you do get to drive a bunch of cars over and over and over as long as you can as fast and you can go thru them. everything from bmw 3 and 5 and merc cl and sl 350 and 500 and x5 and audi a4 and lexus suv, gs, es, is....you get the picture. definitely worthwhile. you can't floor the cars but you can peel out a little bit (can't burn rubber) and you can max accelerate and you can do the twisties, took about 1 minute from go to stop.

I fishtailed out a is350 on that short course in Chicago last year....it was awesome....

Got yelled at a few times to the tune of "these are high end luxury vehicles, we would appreciate it if you wouldn't abuse them like that"

All in all a great time.....a nice gift bag (a few cds, books, Zagats dining guide last year), great food, golf pro with video capture software, massages and lets not forget the cars....

I went last year with the girl I dated at the time. It was fun!! The only thing was the lame giveaway, which were 2 Paul McCartney CDs.

Awesome! I went to the Chicago one last year and had a blast. There were a few times the people had to stop everyone and tell us tone things down a bit
