I could go back to stock if I had to, but of course I sold my OEM headlights after I installed the HIDs, but they're pretty easy to come by thankfully if I have to go that route. I'm really hoping it doesn't come down to that but it would obviously solve my problem if the new harness and ballasts don't fix it. With that said the Morimoto stuff appears to be light years better quality than what was provided with the stuff I got second hand. They have dual relays, a water tight fuse, a capacitor link for the harness and the ballasts are about triple the weight of the ones I have installed, plus the igniters just look 100x better. All the wiring is covered with woven heat wrap. I did pay up for all of it but if it solves my issues and on top of it I get even more light output then all is well. But yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about with mods and problems. Sh*t like this makes me lose sleep and stress the hell out while it's happening, but once it's solved I forget all about what I went though to get it to be right. It's a vicious circle until the next mod problem comes along lol.
Nope the bulbs have been awesome. It's the supporting stuff that's been a disaster. I just installed everything and instantly I can tell a difference in how quick they light up. The real test will be when it's not raining and seeing if the HIDs pop on randomly like they were doing with the cheap stuff. That was the first issue I had before the passenger side ballast crapped the bed. Hopefully I'll have a positive update tomorrow when I get more driving time.
Do I?
I guess overall, I'm really happy with the purchase. I need to adjust to what a full tank o' gas will get me and I need to sell the KBP to refin lower and put a little cash back into the modding fund.
Right now, I've basically only bought the really fun stuff like new wiper blades.
I'm so freaking happy my HID issues are all over. Morimoto ballasts and relay harness FTMFW! Time to move on and not have to worry about lighting for a while hopefully.
On an unrelated note I have this custom badge I designed heading to me. It's going to replace the Hurst badge on the back deck lid. Can't wait to see it in person.
I finally bit the bullet and bought a lip spoiler. Hellcat reproduction. There's a few guys that have installed these on the first gen Chargers and they look freeg'n awesome.
Whelp I installed it and I'm not loving it like I thought I would, so it's already off and for sale ha ha. Thankfully I was able to install it without having to drill additional holes in my trunk lid.
LMAO, Justin...you don't want that. You'll kill yourself (to be readin the "YOU"LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT" voice from A Christmas Story).
Shoot...I might kill myself and I'm 1/2 the loco you are!

you're crazy.
Wow I didn't realize how huge that photo was. I did it from my iPhone. I had a hard time finding an angle but here's another (much smaller) photo of it. It just didn't work for me. The stock one's back on although I have no photographic proof it it at the moment.
