Suggestions for replacing my first gen?

As much as I like my first gen Cl, I really find myself wanting something else. I'm still making decent payments for it, and I'm not locked into any type of lease or contract, so I don't see why I shouldn't get something that makes me more happy.

Anyways, I was looking for something around $10k and I really want something stick shift. So far I've been considering the following:

97+ Prelude
99+ Mustang GT
00+ Civic SI (the new hatchbacks can be made to look real nice)

Anyways, are there any other good, solid cars out there that can be had for a reasonable price and that have some power in them? Sorry to start another thread like this, but you guys probably have some nice suggestions.

I'm not really a fan of any of those cars. Any other choices available?

Yep..10-12k can get you a used GT (the 260hp version to boot). They seem like really well built engines.

ya id say used stang for the money and such. but ya know the new body style stang is comin out so i guess you arent too worried about cars lookin outdated given your price range. what about an oldskool gsx eclipse or somethin like that?

Like most others on this board, I say used Mustang GT. Very nice cars especially for what you have to pay. I had a 97 and I loved it.

the mustang has by far the best power to price ratio.
