having a smooth, relaxing car to drive as a daily is something i forgot about and took for granted. I'm already scrambling to add sound deadening to my car to quiet it up a little. Also bought a catted header because i know i'd hate the catless one.
My ideal daily driver would be something with good low end torque, roomy, yet not huge. Must be quiet and smooth on the freeway. Still has to be decently fun to drive too. So basically, a golf tdi.
Though i have been dailying a newer camry se recently... It's very relaxing to drive, and handles better than i thought it would.
I say Q3 Premium Plus 2.0T FWD in Monsoon Grey Metallic for $32,000
Golf is too small
After seeing how quiet and relaxing this Q5 is, my thought on Honda sedan is done. No way Accord or Camry for daily.
I want a Range Rover in my life.
What do you mean?
You got rid of OFH? Bought FT86speedfactory catted header?
I don't like SUVs/CUVs. The high driving position makes me uncomfortable. Golf is great all around - visibility, seating height/position... just don't want one out of warranty.
Yes I got rid of the OFH. The FT86SF header is on its way.
That's a good one. I mentioned Golf TDI because I want a manual though. I'm one of the few that actually like the TLX, too. I wouldn't buy one, but I like it.
I like the new TLX too, as a car for my dad though.
I told him, just get the most basic model for a good price and drive it... instead of having a Lexus and a Mazda to haul stuff.
I actually told him to get a Passat TDI too though which makes more sense to me.
I don't know, I just can't love any daily sedan or SUV from Japan anymore.

I just put 20k miles on a 13 accord ex-l. While the car does everything "we'll", there is absolutely 0 enjoyment driving it.
Brand new Jetta 2.5SE
Seating was high, interior quality was
Next was brand new GOLF MK7 fully loaded TDI SEL
Loved it. Quality was great. Seating was much better. Had the feeling that you have the car under your hands like the BRZ. I wasn't expecting that
Was Auto transmission.
And here is the friends car.
Yes it's fast but just no fun, no soul, I don't feel anything inside the car. Would get bored in a week in this GTI now knowing my BRZ...
Upshift is fine, fast but can't downshift 2 gears fast enough with that brain it has.
Still an Auto. Nothing like a stick shift.
I kind of liked the steering more than BRZ's one
But I really loved that TDI mk7 Costco.
Do it.
Interior doesn't feel small too.
I may be biased, but have you thought about an IS300? Theyre fun to drive, bulletproof, very comfortable, easy to work on (for the most part), and cheap. Gas mileage isn't great though.

Uffffff this is so perfect.
I want it dammit.
Why didn't I buy something like this
Plus a 1999 Passat, and 2001 A4
Done, my dream is done
Also Benz w123
Yeah I still can't believe it too J.
It feels like it's not my car but yes my first aftermarket wheels.
I might get a lowering spring but for now I like it during winter.
Plus, technically I am not offroader yer, it's 17" still haha
Just bigger side wall, which I kind of like because it filled the fender gap.
SPECS?
Sparco Assetto Gara 18.5lbs as I saw on the forum
Stock 20.8lbs
Oranges are 17x7.5 +48
Stock 17x7 +48
Oranges have 205/50/17
Stock is 215/45/17
But stock tires feel so small, it's weird I don't know and looks much narrower too.
People said about them, that they don't look 215 but...
Because of the tire, oranges are 600 grams heavier than stockies in total weight.
Orange 41.89lbs
Stock 40.57lbs
Set is from last spring brand new. Was a good deal, we couldn't pass it.
Tires are Goodyear Eagle GT which is what I had on my TL. All season
Haha thanks!
I really like them, may be that extra .5 inches or bigger sidewall making the wheels look big or poking out more than stockies, I don't know. I love how they look on the car. Just like what I wanted.
With 235 tires my dream might come true but I love these tires, not taking them off this winter.
Yes car got higher, and easy to notice. That much I mean.
Not my cup of tee on this car. Got the car to drive lower.
Sooo yeah will happen.
Or get 235/40 which will make the car lower than what I was with even stockies
But, no. Will lower it. Morgan is getting on my nerves too, plus I will hit the tracks next year
Lower the car with springs. 1" at most
and invest on brakes.
That's my plan
Ohh these don't have a TPMS sensor though.
I don't really care because car doesn't show the psi like TL did anyway
Although light hasn't poped up yet...
My fog bulb is out.
I feel like making it functional instead of wasting money on just bulbs and throwing a projector in it.
So much want but I don't knowwwwww
BRZ fog is just a bulb, not even a headlight bulb.
Like this, which is useless.
People get Forester fog light unit which is glass so they could actually use a normal bulb or xenon.
Forester has H11 bulbs too.
But it's not projector lens, just a reflector.
I am thinking of buying something like this with shrouds.
Use H1 xenon bulbs and power the ballast with H11 wiring.
Since there is convertor wire from H16(brz) to H11 out there.
This
Why I am planing on doing this? Because as far as I saw, I don't have to take the bumper out hehehe
Othervise, wouldn't deal with the bumper.
Nope.
I tried red led bulb, no function at all, just look. It was pretty good led too, not those cheap 10 bucks.
Tried normal yellow Nokya bulb, ok has some output but nope
All I want is this plan now.
Good thing is, I can adjust to cutoff to perfect match too, since our stock unit has height adjustment on it.
Retrofiting that projector into stock unit is all the job

Are you sure those that you tried were Cree LED?
Because Cree LED bulbs look just like HID kit to me.
There's this little lens at the tip of the bulb. It's like little HID lens.
For a led to be powerful as HID, you need hell of a cooling panels behind it.
Surrounding of the led that you posted won't be enough to cool it.
If that led has brightness as the picture below. Or similar.
I want that^
We tried it 2 summers before on friends moped. Retrofitted 2 projectors, gave up on leds and it was a custom that he was creating.
Ended up using hid kit.
Cooling part is everything for a LED
Also, I thought about it too but it won't work. Bulb won't work. Has to be a HID kit
Because projector is for H1 bulb or H4, and couldn't find a extension convertor wire from our BRZ's H16 to H1 or H4.
Yeah I could create one but meh...
So Ballast will have H11 and the bulb leaving the ballast will have H1
I would love to run just the fogs and parking LEDs when driving but will not happen unless I wire them to battery and add a switch blah blah
These are what I had on the TL that I just posted up there^
