The Subaru thread
Doesn't it feel GREAT?
That's how I exactly felt the day I got my Cobb AP. The smoothness of the power delivery actually was the thing that got me the most. The overall drivability of the car improved a lot.
Your car will get faster and faster as you add more mods and tweak the tune.
My car has gotten much stronger just by fine tuning the map with the same mods. The OTS maps made by Cobb aren't that great since it has to work with so many cars all over the nation. So, they are pretty damn conservative as far as the fueling/timing/boosting are concerned.

funny you mention the OTS maps not being too great, motoiq did a study on the stage 1 for the 08+ STi and barely squeeked more out of it and gave major props to cobb. stage 2 was a different story though i believe.
either way, super stoked and will be saving for the downpipe for sure. from what i read , stage 2 is even more of a difference than stock to stage 1!
yea the smoothness is unbelievable. just a fantastic tune , no complaints here.

One thing to point out, though, is that the gas quality, ambient temperature, altitude, and other variables come in to play for tuning. So, it's not a bad idea to tweak the tune to be better suited. Of course, if there's nothing to be tweaked, then that's awesome!
Enjoy your ride man!
Thats the most important variable of them all. Ive read that Super Unleaded on the west coast is the equivalent of Regular Unleaded on the east coast.
Yep. Los Angeles gets the worst quality of gas ever. If my tuner tune my car a tad more aggressive, I get KR. The same tune can run totally fine on a same car with the same mods with zero KR in other cities. Funny huh?
Well if you lump 'super unleaded' into one category, then yes. but our octane level here in California for super unleaded is 91 octane; whereas in other parts of the country super unleaded is 93 octane. Bunch of crap if you ask me. Gas is refined here in so cal and costs us more than the same gas that is shipped to other states in the southwest.

Not as exciting as those, just a test pipe. Hoping with the OCC I won't experience the smoking issue I had with the hollowed out cat. Wait a second, we really should have a Mazda thread since we're taking over the Subaru thread lolz!
So I'm at the Subaru national business conference this week, what a great time! Tonight, they had about 30 BRZ's taking people for a ride on the track. Really happy to be part of this event.
Subaru is becoming quite a brand! They had everyone here from Japan, talking about the brand and some upcoming models.

he had the clutch and turbo both go out around 100k
the interior was meh, seemed tinny. the headliner was pretty unattractive too.
He also had it lowered on Eibach springs, it rode like crap.
I know most of you will laugh at this but you have to remember this was 10 years ago when graphics were cool!
I recently sold the car a few years ago as I couldn't afford having two cars.
2.5RS GC8 with a swapped 02 WRX motor and tranny.

This model car made me fall in love with the WRX. Had an 04 STi and loved it.

You know it's your fault, right? And now I have another mod on the UPS truck headed my way.

The 2 door Impreza is awesome.
