^ Not sure if that's the case lol. Aren't the new WRXs super quick? And I'm imagining the STis are even faster, no?

Yes. They are insanely quick 0-60. Its like 4.5 for WRX. MS3s reel them in on top end.

I beat couple newer WRXs on sushi races on highway pretty easily.

Oh yeah, WRXs are almost identical to STi in terms of straight line performance.

Thanks. I'm not in the market, just curious, I'll get around to driving them sometime.

STi has stronger pistons, free flowing heads, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, different exhaust, adjustable differential, SI drive thing, aluminum suspension components, stronger trans, brembo brakes, BBS wheels, grippier seats, different steering wheel, different gauges, bigger wing , higher insurance rates

For the $10k difference I think it's worth it

Wrong. STi generally have lower insurance rate than WRX. The ricers usually go with the WRX as it's much cheaper and wrap them around the telephone poles more often. The target consumers of STi are more matured than that of WRX.

I've looked into this when I was cross shopping all these cars 2 years ago. It's same for all insurance companies.

Lgt is the better all around car, between performance and luxury. Def rarer car. Mod friendly

335i is more power, but more maintenance. BMW is what it is. Still, a gorgeous car, and has more prestige.

TL-S is the best looking IMO, and most user friendly. It's got more tech than the LGT and better gas mileage than the other two. Sort of like the safe bet.

LGT Spec-B = Rare & Fun! Very mod friendly.
335i = It pulls like a freight train especially above +100. I'm not so sure about long-term reliability.
TL-S = Perfect balance of sport, luxury, and reliability. But keep in mind that it's a Fail Wheel Drive.

No and I dont think theyre going to bring a Spec B model to the US for the newer Legacy. The LGT already comes with a 6 speed like the Spec B but I'm unsure on weather or not they also come with the R180 rear diff.

Those were the selling points of the SpecB, but I feel as if the 6 speed was the main factor. The 07+ SpecB also came with Bilstein suspension from factory, another thing that the normal LGTs didnt have.

SpecBs are definitely worth it IMO. I'd take that over an STi. They are great cars. My buddys got one and now hes selling it. Wish I had the money to buy it from him.

^ I know several MS3 owners over at MSF got theirs for like $2-3k off the sticker price in the BEGINNING of this year. The sedan ones, don't know about the hatch ones.

But nowaday, it's really hard to get it for discounted price due to the effects cause by earthquake back in Japan.

My coworker was trying to get one last month but backed off because of it.

Still you should try it out. And check out the truecar.com or something.

I am one of those specB owners, but over in Japan. The thing with the 3.0R specB, is that the torque is seamless. Once the slushbox decides to shift (if the padels are not used), it flies. It was also optional with a 6MT. That was the car I really wanted but the cost was more than I wanted to pay.

Here's what it looks like.......And it does have the Bilstein inverted strut setup.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/vjy/6064484725/" title="IMG_1168 by VJ Yacono, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6193/6064484725_2b50148bc2_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1168"></a>

These are posted elsewhere, but you get the idea. And the car looks the same now. Just older. Subaru introduced this model during the 2006 mid-year refresh. The USDM got this body style for the 2008/2009 model years only.

My advice: Search for a specB. You will not regret it.

How have I been missing this thread for so long? Beautiful rides guys. I've always had a soft spot for Legacys. I should post a picture for you guys of the massive, massive Subaru plant that I pass by in Indy all the time on my way to Michigan. Its where they make the Legacy, Tribeca, and Outback.

Go to http://vanbortelsubaru.com and you can build / price it there. They are in Rochester, NY (Victor really, right off I-90) and will beat any price in the nation. Check it out. If you like their prices, I'll tell you who to talk to.

In my latest quest for #40, I stopped by my local subie dealer to see what the new spec b had to offer. I was surprised to hear that not only is there no spec b, but they've also discontinued the GT?!
