138K!?
Lord, you must have stopped driving. Yeah, that'll last you forever.
If you get C8 what color are you thinking? Red again?
Prince would forgive you if you change colors, you know.
^^^ Well, the Corvette just turned 6 years old in mid-September....it has 38,000 on it.
For the C8, I really like the new Rapid Blue color! Instead of the traditional 10 colors, the C8 now comes in 12 colors. There is also the new Zeus Bronze that is a great color.
Guys, last weekend I was honored again (for the 4th time) to be the MC and DJ at Corvette FunFest at Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, Illinois.
While I was there, I had ACS Composite install these lower vents, which are usually found on the Z06 and Grand Sport. These are non-functional, but really change and improve the look of the car.
During FunFest, the Corsa Exhaust rep asked me if "he could use my Corvette for the weekend"!!!!! What he mean was, he wanted to use my car in his booth as the demo car. I have the full Corsa Extreme exhaust with their Double Helix X-pipe. He sold out of exhausts that weekend using my car as a demo so people could hear the exhaust. Here is the Stingray set up next to their booth!
I have replaced the Z51 badging that was originally where the new lower vent now is. This time, I went with smaller Z51 badging, but these are done in Carbon Fiber!
OK, the Carbon Flash (black metallic) trim on the new vents were bugging me. I'm having some caps made in Carbon Fiber. In the meantime, I added some Carbon Fiber trim to them......
@KarKraze I scrolled down and saw that picture and was thinking holy shit Steven finally got a phone that can take a
non shitty picture (maybe it's his hosting on lycos)!!!!!!!!
Then I realized it wasn't his car.
Awesome, dude...congrats!
and the biggest kudos to the guy that inspired you!

Thank you.
That is correct Steven made me do it 🙂.
I have been looking for a long time for the right one to come along, 4 Years old with 5300 KMS owned by a 75 yr gentleman.
I thought about it. I’m patiently waiting for NC1 NSX prices to come down well below $100k so I can snag one. OTOH, once C8s are a dime a dozen, I’m sure we’ll start seeing base models for $20-30k in 3-4 years...blows my mind to contemplate a mid-engined supercar for that little...
I think you'll see the price of them move north of mid 60s base.
Look at the GT-Rs.. remember when they were in the low 60s brand new.
Resale on them is still ridiculous.
You could have bought a new one and sold it for the same money today.
I think the C8s will be the same type of bird in regards to market value.
1k deposit
Yeah...
it's all unicorn quifs for me anyway...I ain't finna spend 60K.
but what if I bought one, did 2 months worth of burnouts then sold it for a profit after!
I’d be happy with a base + Z51, maybe in LT2 trim, with a front lift kit. That’s only $70k or so. Completely batshit crazy pricing for the performance. I don’t even want to imagine how crazy the Z06 and ZR1/Zora models are going to be. Chevy has hit a home run IMO.
yeah dude...I agree just not at a place in life where 70K is super doable.
I mean, I have the credit and cash to make it happen but with other priorities
it wouldn't be prudent.

Depreciation will help...especially after Z06 and Zora are on the road. That’s what I’m waiting for.
With what I consider reasonable to spend on a car I don't need but would like...it'll be a C6 Z or maybe C7 Grand Sport...
or maybe I'm delusional and I should just stick to beaters.
Looks good!
Curious, do you keep your stock parts to be able to sell all the carbon fiber when the time comes
or will you package it up with the car and sell it as a carbon fiber edition?
