Dude, you're right-the garage doors are now ho-hum....so is the entry door from the garage into the house (with the red trim). I need to paint that door white to match the garage. I'll get that done sometime soon. Maybe get some white panels for the inside of the garage doors or something.
Diamond plate the doors
Congrats on the new house. Ride like carbon fiberific as always.
Dude, open heart...they must have had a spade shovel for that...you got a big heart.
Crazy serious surgery 2 months before a plandemic. I'm so glad you're healed up and doing well.
Also didn't know you moved...check in more often, Stevie...we miss you. I'm guessing Anil is happy
and sad to have his garage space back
Cool ass garage...and I second what @cu2wagon suggested on the CF wrap on the garage door.
^^^ I miss you guys too! Yea, I thought I'd make you guys squirm and include a picture of the 7 inch scar on my chest from Day 2.
Anil is well-he sends his love.
I got something very cool last night in the mail. I ordered this CORVETTE sign on eBay. You're supposed to put it on a wall. But I propped it up against the ledge in the garage--it looks pretty good there! What do you think?
^^^ Thanks dude! I've got more Carbon Fiber coming-hopefully this week or next.....stay tuned.
IMPORTANT:
Guys, if you're interested, the Product Manager for Corvette is my guest this week on the CORVETTE TODAY podcast. His name is Harlan Charles. It's a great listen! We spend a LOT of time talking about the new mid-engine C8. Here is the link:
The car looks great. I love the floor. I would like to do the same to mine but the previous owner painted it and the price tag on getting it redone was really high.
Wow, 7 in scar is a reality check.
We are all on borrowed time, life is so short.
I think the Vette sign should be mounted. On the
ground it looks like you set it down while waiting to
go grab a hammer.
Are you considering getting a mid engine? You could
probably get some good money for yours.

Thanks....post a picture of your floor-I'd like to see it.

We see a C8 in your future Steve!!
Glad you liked the podcast! I'm just trying to do Corvette justice. I need to sell some sponsorships and advertising in the podcast. With this damn pandemic, no one is doing a lot of business right now....
I'm holding off on the C8 mid-engine right now. I was an early adaptor for the C7. So I want to see what the Z06, Grand Sport and the ZR1 are going to look like before pulling the trigger on another Corvette.

Thank you, my friend....it's great to be back. I look at that scar on my chest everyday-it's quite a reality check.
On a separate note, on Monday, we bought my wife a 2020 MDX Tech in Gunmetal color. She had a 2011 Jeep Wrangler with almost 100,000 miles on it. We have a new grand baby 2 hours away. She wanted a less rugged ride to go see the new baby. So we traded in the Jeep Wrangler for the MDX at Jay Wolfe Acura in Kansas City (they're the dealership that sponsored our National Acurazine Meet every year). Jim Mattson gave us a smoking deal on both the Jeep and the new MDX. My wife says the MDX is the nicest car she's ever owned. Here's a picture....as you can see, I'm still driving the Type S-140,000 miles later!
First, I had the lower fuel rails done in Hydro Carbon to match the rest of the engine bay....
Next, today Swoosh (Anil) and I installed the airbox to the Halltech Cold Air Intake. Both the lower fuel rails and this airbox were the last things left to have done in Hydro Carbon.
I also added some pin stripping on the Carbon Fiber grill (angled area) as well as the back end Carbon Fiber piece (to match the side skirts and front splitter.
As with my Type S, which now has 140,000 miles on it and still going strong, I've had the Corvette for over 7 years now. I've modified it just about as long as it took me to do the Type S.
I have one more Carbon Fiber piece being made for the Corvette. It will go onto the interior. After that, I don't know what else to add to the Corvette, which makes me sad.....
Thanks! The engine bay is finally done and complete.

Guys, I looked into this a few years back, as a matter of fact! It wasn't that it was cost prohibitive-but it's a red Corvette. Do you mess with a red Corvette?????

GM color code-matched CF weave.
In all honesty, you've done the car up nicely, without it being garish at all.
Always fun to hypothetically spend someone else's money
My Hendrick Chevrolet dealership is tearing down an old used car building. This was hanging in the hallway of that building. If I hadn't pulled it off the wall, it would have gone down with the building! It's 16 feet long!
Super cool to see them visually next to each other and then get the final one to be your color that pops.
That is awesome.
I miss the painter's tape though.
