Tell your dad to come with ( i think will anyway since your 16, i dont know for sure read teh website)
He'll have plenty of professionals explain to him how you will benefit from it.
He says no, then come out anyway and watch. See how real drivers handles their cars.
Either I better see your ass there, or you are a pansy.

If my 16 year old son only got 7000 miles out of new tires, Id take his car away in a heart beat, because obviously you are driving like a dipshit on the streets.

Drifting is reserved for RWD. people who talk about drifting in FWD cars sounds like stupid rice boys who dont know what they are talking about.
stunts like this are why people die. get a fucking clue.

Actually, I'll have to disagree with this statement.
Drifting is possible with any kind of drivetrain layout, including FWD. You just need massive amounts of power to pull the car through the turns while the rear end is sliding out.
Anybody can just flick the steering wheel and mash the gas pedal in a RWD and induce fishtailing/drifting. With FWD, it's a lot harder, but it is possible.
Lastly, no, I don't drift.
my dad also has to be with me since im under 18. One question, does he have to be in the car with me. That is gonna be impossible. he will never sit with me in the car or anyone else, he's scared of everybodies driving.

And if you do show up, and i know you wont, I WILL make sure you have an instructor.
because as much as I would love to see you embarass yourself at least once on your own, I dont want the course workers diving for cover and picking up a thousand cones.
I just got finished reading through the thread, and what's the big deal?
The kid messed up, but nobody got hurt and his car's fine. So what if he talks big and whatnot? He's 17!
Maybe some of you guys are a lot older and don't remember what exactly being 17 felt like, but since that was only 5 years ago for me, I have a very vivid memory of my younger days.
He says he's learned a lesson, and hopefully he won't do anything stupid in the future that will jeopardize his and other people's lives. But if he did it again and messed shit up next time, then it's his life, his car. As long as he doesn't hurt anyone else, I honestly don't care what happens to him; not in the sense that I don't give a fuck about people, but rather in the way that if he didn't learn from this and messed up again, screw him.
I was a crazy ass driver back in the days, and I learned a valuable lesson after losing my license twice and paying exorbitant amounts of money for insurance. I'm sure he's learned his lesson.

being stupid. Unlike you, i aint proud of my mistakes. So i dont like talking about it, but you can search and find the thread somewhere.
But one thing for sure, it woke me up and i stopped doing dumb shit like that. I take everything to the track now. Much more fun that way too.

I will introduce myself to you when i see your car, or you come find me.
I will proceed to call you a dumbass to your face, then get you set up to race. We'll take it from there.

Thats the point, we are trying to teach him that its not worth driving like that on the streets.

Make no mistake; I am not on his side. I was just making an outside observation, chiming in with my own experience.

This thread, just like the last one, deteriorated to Sarclac trying to get him to go to a driving school, pimpcls not listening and crazy sellout adding shit in for this own amusement.
