I know it will be over $100.00

If you havent had a ticket in the last 18 months you can take an online internet traffic school and have the ticket wiped from your record...no points, no insurance hike.

You only get this "help" once every 18 months. Use it well.

If you plan on going to traffic school expect to spend around $300-340 for your bail. This price includes online traffic school which I did in like 15 minutes. Better than going to an actual class and wasting 8 hours of your time.

Usually online traffic schools have time counters where you can't do it any sooner than the counter.

^ ya. defensive driving classes online have a timer where you HAVE to be online for at LEAST 6 hours. even if you finish your section ahead of time it won't let you progress forward until that allotted time is up... wtf 15 minutes?

and wtf $300-400 and for bail?? he didn't get arrest he just got a ticket. i got my first ticket in a few years recently for 16 over and chose defensive driving online and i paid a total of $142 which includes the online course...

What happened? Get caught speeding in your "NSX" or what?

1) its an 8 hour traffic school

2) There is no bail. You pay the ticket, you pay like another 40 to opt for the school and then you pay the 20-30 for the school.

In the end it will cost you like $250 total. Maybe less.

i'm not 100% sure about this but I THINK in NY its 2 points for every 10mph over the limit.

your fine will likely by between $150-$200 depending on the state surcharge

http://www.comedytrafficschool.com/ No counter...click continue...answer the questions in the 5 quizzes...if you have to actually read anything before the quizzes you shouldn't be driving.

Your state FTL. I'm going by the wording on the mail they sent me. If you plead no contest/guilty and decide to pay the fine and/or go to traffic school you pay a bail.

There's a reason he mentioned he is in CA.

Word of advice. If you are eligible for traffic school, DO IT!

I'll have to remember that online traffic school for future reference.

Traffic schools are approved by each county, not State of CA

Please note that the traffic schools in California are each approved by the individual County, not by the State.
Violators can only be given credit for traffic schools which are approved by the Superior Court in the county which issued the traffic ticket. The approved list of traffic schools will be sent in the mail along with court appearance information to the violator.

Orange County does not approve on-line traffic schools, so I had to attend a live school on a Saturday about 6 months ago.

Los Angeles County has on-line traffic schools, but they all seemed to have elapsed time counters as of three months ago-- my wife got a moving violation on a street in Playa Vista - Sarlacc's 'hood.

OP will have to check the list when it comes in the mail to see what on-line traffic schools, if any, are available.

Bud...when was the last time you had to take one of these tests? Because I have taken them a couple times over the years and yes, you used to be able to finish them very quickly.

But they changed it at some point and when I had to take one last year there was an eight hour counter and you couldnt finish the class before that time was up.

If there is still a site that lets you do it in less, thats great.

Will...you're going to hate me for saying this...but if she was inside the community and got a ticket for running a stop sign I'm glad. WAY too many come in to the area and roll through all the stop signs. I've nearly been hit I can't count the times now. And there are kids, people, and dogs everywhere.

Not nearly enough people are nailed for it.

Course if it was for something else...sorry.

um, no I'm not asian, and I'm not quite sure what you are getting at...

Oh and even if I was asian I wouldn't give you the time of day!

In this thread you post that you have a NSX and a 2nd gen TL...in other threads you claim to have an 06 TL.....WHICH IS IT?

I really dunno what asians or blacks have to do with your speeding ticket!

Stay on topic before this gets locked up.

I was simply asking what car you were driving when you got the ticket since you have posted that you have 3 different cars. I am sorry I have made you so upset that you need to post these childish comments

NP; I agree w/the sentiment. I have no complaints about drivers being ticketed for actually running stop signs or red lights, either.

My wife was ticketed for swinging wide on a left turn from Jefferson WB onto Lincoln SB, IIRC- outside the community. It sounded like a BS ticket, but she didn't want to fight it, and traffic school was available since it had been over 10 years since her last ticket.

mmm, that does sound like a BS ticket, but it is a two lane turn I think.

They should be ticketing people for turning too wide going NB...thats where all the jackasses turn out into other peoples lanes.

I did the online tests last month actually for a ticket I got going about the same speed as the OP. My fine was $315+$19.99 for the online class. There are a lot of counties that approve of that particular site (saw it on their pull down menu when I was putting in my info and case #) I don't want to sound like an advertisement for them or anything but they were really easy with the identification process since other schools require you to go to a public notary to take the final test or some internet cafe where they check your ID. I just put in some personal info like my SS# and other things to prove who I was. I haven't gotten any type of ticket in more than 5 years so I don't think my fine was higher than normal.
