Unhappy Speeding Ticket

I got a fucking speeding ticket this morning! 64 in a 45. I thought the speed limit was 55. I was about three blocks shy of the 55 limit. Sucks!!!

So you were still speeding.

See if you can get it reduced. If not, then pay the fine, enroll in traffic school, and be more careful in the future.

I find the OP nothing but funny.

"I thought I was speeding, but I really was" is what I made out of it.

I know I was speeding, I just thought I was only doing 9 over instead of 19 over. Makes a big differnce. I have a pretty good driving record though so i'm not too worried about it. The cop said it was a 4 pointer but I'll probably get it reduced to two points.

Thanks for all the love out there guys!

J/K. It's my fault, I wasn't looking for sympathy, just upset with myself.

Was this on Arapahoe Road? I know the speed limit goes from 45 to 55 once you get out past Burt Honda, but rarely have I ever been able to go that speed as people just love to poke along down the road.

It was on Parker RD. Two motorcycle cops were sitting at the intersection of Parker & Leigh. Oh well. Sooner or later I'll learn to drive without a lead foot.

I see your point.

That's good that you have pretty good driving record, but you got to slow down.

I'll try to. The problem is, I don't really look at the speedometer and when I get going I'll be doing 60 and not even realize it.

If anything, try looking at your gas gauge. With gasoline @ $4/gal+, I pretty much stopped speeding everywhere with the exception of major highways.
