so my ceo walks in yesterday
and says ummm, i know you love cars, wanna take my gt3 for a ride???
he had been pimping his 05 cayenne turbo for a while but decided to bring in the 'other' porsche
so he hands me and my coworker (my age) the keys to his 04 911 GT3...
and we proceed to try to kill ourselves on 395 in Virginia going up to dc
car is unbelievable, didnt take any pictures cause i didnt have a camera with me but it looks exactly like this
black on black, only mod he has done is some racing seats to keep your ass planted as the car rips your head through the headrest
the fastest thing I have driven stock before this was a 97 supra turbo stock
i couldn't even speak, I have never driven anything like that before at all, it was a different kind of experience from driving anything
clutch is heavy as all hell, it doesn't really shift that well, and the back end wants to get loose on your for nothing... the car is way to heavy in the back and idles like shit due to what I am sure are some super aggressive cams
turning at 5mph sucks and feels like something is wrong, but you give that car juice and it pulls like a madman straight to redline, kinda reminded me of the powerband of the cl-s 6'er with a ton more power, but that same rush to the end without giving up a thing... and of course rwd
that is all, ill take some pictures next time he brings it in, or maybe i'll just try to kill myself in the cayenne instead....

he is such a big kid, he and our cfo (with his 04 z06) go racing at the track all the time, and rob (ceo) is a bmw driving instructor
his main race car is a 97 m3 completely modified, supercharged pushing 350+ to the wheels with a roll cage, completely redone race suspension, bla bla bla, its like gran turismo with real cars... never ceases to amaze me

very cool. Nice of him to trust you guys with the car too.
My boss has been bugging me to drive my CTS-V. No one has ever asked to drive my NSX. I won't let them anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Shame we don't get the GT3RS, for which the veil is even thinner!

Word on the street is the 997 GT3 at least the Federal version will have PSM, which puts it back on my radar. I have become accustomed to late night deserted road runs and they are just too dangerous for a car without it. It is one thing on a closed course, quite another where a dash of sand on the road in a corner car turn a GT3 into a $110K modern sculpture, hence no 996 GT3 for me! But it is a KILLER car which I would take in a heart beat over a TT and have 30-40K left over for a trailer, used tow vehicle, plenty of tires and track days!
