So the Enclave needs a good buff-out....
Thankfully all is safe it seems.
Not to knock on GM/USDM cars...but I'd think that 99% of any major cars sold today would be able to keep the occupants fairly safe...can't think of any big name brands that sell cars that are rated "marginal" or even "poor" on the IIHS/NHTSA crash tests.

You mean other than Acura, right? The 2016 TLX is Marginal on the small front overlap test: Vehicle details
I don't blame her either for wanting to replace it with another since it held up so well considering she snapped a telephone pole in half. Wow! Glad Mrs. Bob held up so well, too!

Wow. Like the couple other (probably) simpletons above, I'm thoroughly impressed by the way the face of the wheel popped off like a hubcap.
I wouldn't have expected that.
Oh, and Bob, you should take your wife to see a doctor to get checked out.
Sometimes a you feel okay after an accident but a doctor will find something hurt. So it's always a good idea to see a doctor. You can look in the phone book for a doctor or maybe even use yelp to find a doctor for your wife to see.
But definitely get her to a doctor in case something starts to doctor. You don't want to doctor future problems because doctor doctor doctor. Doctor doctor doctor, doctor, doctor doctor doctor.
Oh, and go see a doctor.

Dang that is messed up. Just goes to show to always check/research/do homework on a prospective car buy!

Wow just saw this. Glad your wife is ok Bob. Takes a pretty good whack to do that to a wheel.
Oh and has she seen a doctor yet
I second the recommendation of taking her to see the new XC90. But if she says no and wants another Enclave I can't blame her after seeing how well it help up and protected her.

Totalling was official as of a few days ago.
We're heading out to make the deal on a new Enclave shortly, so wish us luck! Hopefully, my negotiation-fu is on tip today. End of month, ya know....

Wife is holding up great.

I signed up for enclaveforums.net just prior to the original purchase but honestly, it's not quite as exciting as AZ, so I lurk more than post. There is good info there, though. I guess I should post these pics over there eventually. AZ is my main online home so I always post here first.

Got a less than invoice deal if incentives are included (GM Supplier price, additional incentives, didn't take much negotiatiating).
, and the threat of bringing your own financing really works. The dealer beat the interest rate I got from my bank, by quite a lot.

Wife happy and well. Therefore, everybody happy.
Well, except my pocketbook.

Very nice, Bob...
I was going to suggest having her test out a SRX-4 also...since probably same platform...either way, great to see her happy in another one, and alive to tell the tale. That looked like a horrific accident.

She doesn't like the look of the SRX, and she thought it was too small. BTW, this accident ends my current quest to buy my S2000 back.
Going to clear out the current car loan debt first, then see what my options are.
gatr, we have a 2016 Premium AWD with "Experience Buick" package (towing package, 20's, and a bunch of extras. It's the same as the 2015 we had except the name of the black is different for 2016 (looks same to me), and a couple of switches are different.

Good...you won't need the S anyway...if you ever are so inclined you can always sell the NSX and buy 3 S2000's.
About the SRX...my wife is the opposite...she loves it. Can't say I love the look of the Enclave, but it's certainly bigger and I'm guessing she doesn't like angles too much.
