Look o.k. Quality sucks though.

My friends grandfather had one and one day he was coming home from our marina and it started raining. He pulls over to put the top up and it wouldn't close fully. He had to drive home with one hand on the wheel and one hand holding the top down.

They may have gotten better since being bought by Ford, but I still think the quality is not their for the money.

You right, but it sure beats a 2005 CLK 500 interior, I had one the other day, and the interior did not feel like a $65000 car, felt cheap to be honest.

The Jaguar's interior is alot better, I get that feel i'm in a expensive car.... as for the Top, works fine up to 10mph.

Jaguar 1 G35 0 , and it was a brand new spanking G35 coupe too ( temp tag on the back), looked like the guy had his GF with him to show off, but was no match for the XK8.

After 90mph in 3rd i was waving good bye, with the top down lol ... funny stuff

I used to watch my best friend's brother's house when they went on vacation every year. He would leave his car keys on the bar saying "if you need a car there's my keys".

Shit, it was a 67' Charger with a 383 Magnum 4bbl. and a 727 Torqueflite and it only had 28k miles on it.

Yup!! spent too much money that week in gas!!

I can fit in most things actually, but usually not vert versions of them. Like I can fit in the C5 Targa, but not the vert, and my knees hit on the C6. Fucking

I can fit in things with ample leg and headroom. Being 6'4 with all your height in your legs sucks.

Not true, the dated XK is actually more reliable than the MB R230 SLs (03+).

If the new XK is like the XJ350 (04+).....then it will be a great car.

Jaguar has had great reliability ratings over the last 3-4 years.

The X-Type is a piece of shit, its a Ford Mondeo.

But all future Jags will not be based on Ford models.

I agree with you and I've pretty much concluded that the back seat was put there mearly to keep isurance premiums down. If said car was a true two-seater they'd go through the roof.

The XJ350 is just as much of a Ford as MB are Chrysler's.

The S-Type's frame came first and was then used by Ford for the Lincoln LS and Thunderbird.

The X-Type is the main root of Jaguars problems.

Jaguar is right now one of the most reliable luxury cars on the market.......when compared to Audi and especially MB (Jag has beat them in the reliablity ratings for the last 3 years or so).

Anybody who sais that Jags are expensive Ford's, really have no clue of what they are talking about........unless they are talking about the X-Type.

Like I said, all future Jags will be built on exclusive Jag platforms.

Ford was actually the best thing to happen to Jaguar.

Also Bodyshop = Body damage repair.

since when did someone who could afford an XK care about insurance premiums!

I think I read in an MT article that many of jag's customers insisted on the backseat being present in the 06 XK when it was being redesigned. Personally, I love the fac that it has a backseat - useful for the occasional time when your carrying more than one passenger. I guess it also offers space for stuff that doesnt fit in the trunk.
