Well I was merging onto I95 today heading down to Kingsland for a little drive and noticed a red sports car merging ahead of me. I put my foot in it because I could tell even at that distance that it was something I wanted to get a closer look at. As I approached to overtake in the left lane I realized it was an R8 (my first R8 in person). It had body-colored "blades" and aftermarket rims. I couldn't tell whether or not it was the V10 version...

I haven't been a huge fan of these in pics I must admit but in person at 80mph that thing just ooozed supercar. As I passed I also noticed a large number 8 sticker on both back windows and a guy who looked to be 18 or 19 driving! He didn't attempt to blow past me as I merged in front of him; he seemed content to keep it at 80 or so.

The only other thing I can add to this pointless story is that the led running lights are almost distracting on these new Audis. I think they need to be a little less bright...

nice, i saw one being delivered on the back of a tow truck when i was on the highway. stayed next to that truck for awhile...

also rode behind another one on the highway, some guy in the right lane driving speed limit.

really is a nice car, as i too had mixed feeling when first viewing it in magazines...

 

Oh yeah.....the R8 is something that totally makes you break your neck when you see it....

Such a sexy car. I've seen a few around town. Surprisingly I see more M6's then anything else.

 

I really enjoyed driving one at Infineon.

The R8 has a very appealing design, definitely is a looker.

I wouldn't judge Georgia that much, Atlanta is home to a lot of very wealthy people.

You are lucky. I've never seen one on the road in the Cleveland area, ever. Then again, most people with enough scratch to buy one don't live in Northeast Ohio.

I spotted my first one on the road a few weeks ago, the daytime running lights were what drew my attention to it on the other side of the road...

 

It was red with Fulton county tags. Its a small world if you just happen to know the same guy!

Supercars aren't exactly a dime a dozen here in south GA. St. SImons is kind of a rich old folks retirement area (lots of golf courses) so I tend to see lots of Mercedes, Jaguars, and BMW's but not many supercars. There is a guy on Sea Island that has an F430 that I got to sit in once though...

 

I have yet to see one on the road, but my Acura dealer is combined with an Audi dealer, and they have had (last time I went there) a gray R8 with auto trans in the showroom for like a year. I guess nobody wants to buy the automatic version

 

I had seen one at the Audi dealership about three or four months ago, the car was dirty when I dropped off my car for service. When I came to pick my car up I saw the same R8 again, except it was clean this time.

I walked up to it to take a closer look, and noticed the paint had swirl marks all over, I was complaining loudly to my brother beside me; "They put this car through an automated car wash!? They ruined the car's paint!!"

There is another R8 that I used to see quite often parked at an office building, it is white, it didn't look all that pretty.

 

i speak to him frequently at the grocery store. his name is micheal something. its not like we are fuck buddies or anything.

 

might be the same guy because of the fulton county tags. ill check out the tag next time i see him. im usually just staring at the huge fucking 8 he has stuck on it haha

 

When I worked for the local Audi dealer I got to start one of those bad boys up and play with all the toys. Didn't get to drive it, though. They are beautiful

 

I really like the R8. Except for the white/orange one I saw a a while back, that just didn't look right.

but for a million dollars less. the r8 is still the car i would buy.

P.S. if any guy owns this car and does not get laid like every day, he needs to just give up in life.
