Sometimes less is more... when there is too much black going on, it makes the car look cheap... IMO...

 

a lot of people don't know how to take the silver mirrors...
but like the oddly shaped exhaust tips on my 3G TL...
they are a feature I went nuts for as soon as I saw them

Long-game goals for mine, simulate the MB Night Pkg, but without the black accented wheels. Kill the chrome on the bumpers & doors/windows. Probably leave the stars in silver/chrome though.

 

Depending on the car, black trim can work on some colours and not on others. I think J's appropriately blacked out. Like slightly blacker than Cory Booker probably.

 

Like I said..I might be biased...

Had a fun little getaway weekend with the Lady. Took the Kayak but the weather didn't really cooperate.

dude, I got 20mpg with mostly highway...the kayak on top robbed like 5 mpg...I should practice tying it down flipped over. I was also concerned with it filling with water since it rained all weekend.
40mpg is like a dream.

 

I was actually gonna ask about it being right side up on the roof, plus the rain

 

If you drive faster, it won't fill up with water...

Also, I was doing 65-70 the whole way. The 53mph cruise setting was the last little bit before I got to his house. Apparently eco mode works quite well...

 

I'm like, these fucking roof racks and the kayak shifting...then it dawned on me I probably shouldn't go 110 with it on top.
I've always down right side up because then the straps can catch the lip of the opening to hold it down...I will try flipping it onto J's
paddleboard foam and some ratcheting straps instead.

I had a guy in a V8 camaro pull up next to me at a light...it changed green super fast and I wasn't sure he was gonna go for it so I waited and by the time he punched it I had given him 2 car lengths...I caught up to his rear bumper before backing off since it wasn't uncongested road...

J was like, why you mad? I was like...if it was a ZL1 and he beat me for real I wouldn't care but that bitchass basically just did a ricer flyby on me and flashed his hazards! I want his family dead! I was dying to catch him at the next light so I could launch control him right quick.

Anyway...the car has been getting a lot of looks and people pointing at it lately...I guess they think it's pretty too.

 

Yeah, it looks sharp and with that boat on top, it would stand out further.








Otherwise, if people are pointing, I'm pretty sure they are looking at the weirdo behind the wheel.

 

39mpg is damn impressive for an AWD box on wheels :giggle:
With smooth flowing traffic, I get as high as 36-37 [indicated avg] on my 20 miles commute in to work.

Got 42.4 this morning from my house to the airport.

 

So just got back from Vegas last night.... i tried to get 40.... i ended up with 23.3... and yes it was 118 degrees and yes i need to dust my dash too... like everyone else here

As a comfortable & practical daily ... there's not a lot of cars faster than a Stage 2 DSG B8 S4 lol. Even stock, the DSG trans / supercharger combo shows 0 hesitation and the immediacy is pretty impressive ... with another 100whp it's probably a riot.

That is not a fair race because you know his car will break down somewhere before it gets to that porch. Maybe 1 day when AZ arranges a huge meet somewhere and we all take a 1 week road trip

 

There's no doubt Jeremy's car will win in the 1/4 mile even on 93. His car will launch / shift perfect every single time ... I'm guesstimating he'll be in the mid - high 11s @ 115mph.

From a 40 / 60 roll, I think I would walk away by a few cars. It's the only thing the B5 is good at

there was a street bike with a guy doing dumb shit at the light...
figured fuck it, let's take off...
I lit his ass up...let him pass...he hit it and I walked right by him.
It was a naked bike but it was probably small displacement like 1300 cc or something.
