That's too bad. I'm glad you weren't hurt. Kudos for feeling bad about the deer too. The damage doesn't look that bad, and hopefully the car will be repaired shortly.

Be thankful you're okay. I used to live in NJ and deer was plentiful. I'm glad I never encountered one.

Jeeze, that did some serious damage. Like you said, the car can be fixed. And although it sucks the deer died, just be thankful you made it out okay.

i heard i was really lucky because lowered car had a higher tendency to send the deer through the window, but i was lucky. no blood nothing from the deer or anything.

I agree with you but you cant be hard on yourself. You have to just be thankful that you (and if you had passengers) are ok. I have hit and known people who have hit deer and it sucks (one person i know has Honestly hit 27 now)

damn, that deer fucked your car up. Like the others said, at least you weren't hurt and you are lucky you still have both your headlights to avoid other deer

Meh. I can send you 500 deer to replace the one you hit, no problem. NJ is overrun with these pests.

Sorry about your car, though.

What is with all this sympathy for that stupid deer??? We have a HUGE deer infestation down here and it is one of my #1 worries when driving at night. Nothing is scarier than running up I95 at 80+mph and seeing a whole herd of those stupid things eyeing the road as you approach...

Yeah deer scare me, one of my two greatest concerns driving at night. The other is not seeing road hazards like rocks that people deliberately place on the road to give people flat tires.

Probably because most people don't want to see an animal hurt or suffering.

Nothing wrong with that.

Damn man, good thing you're alright. My friend hit a deer on the freeway, then spun out, got knocked out for a little bit from the impact, had some kind people help him out of his car cuz he was in the middle of the freeway still. Also car was totalled of course. He was driving a '05 Nissan Altima sedan. Good thing there wasn't too many cars on the road, I think it was about 12 midnight. I hope this never happens ever again, but that's wishful thinking. I'm just glad he was ok with just a few cuts and a headache. Glad you came out alright and hope you get your car looking good again!

PEACE!

PEACE!

Why'd you have to kill it? It was just fawn-ing for your attention.

Your lucky that's all that happened and be thankful it was a doe.

I hear that this is why a lot of people with trucks here, have a big ass grill guard. I hear that the noise that is created when you bounce a deer off a grillguard on an F-250 is pretty unforgettable.

I feel your pain.. I hit a deer back in Oct and it did a number to the front of my car.. Got a few new mods out of the deal. I hit a huge buck though, so it did a little bit more damage than your deer.

Yeah, I hit a deer with my last car just a few months before I bought my CL. I felt so bad, I saw the deer get launched a bit, then tumble on the ground about 2-3 times, then when I checked out the damage (mostly just bent front end, passenger side headlight off kilter.) the whole front end was covered with deer fur!

Weird thing is the deer got up and ran off... wasn't limping or anything. I still felt pretty lousy, I still dunno if the deer turned out okay, or died from hemorrhaging soon after.
