Talking By Request: The wife's whip 2001 JDM Odyssey

As requested......

The Subie is hiding in the garage.

The interior is nothing to shout about. Simple, late 90's early 2000 design. But Pekochan is hanging off the mirror for good luck.....

Beautiful, never knew they had a sportshift.
What engine is in there? F23 or does it come with like a J30 by chance?

Love it! Ideal size unlike the USDM version. Odyssey's rock!

K23A..... But the V6 version is the J motor. The tranny is a 4 speed, so there is NOTHING sporty about the shifting. A good year for us means a trade for a newer vehicle, but I'm on the fence as it has 45K Km on it.

I like it! Very clean. What's a Pekochan?

Nice.... at least JDM Odysseys of that vintage have dash-mounted shifters. My uncle's 99-04 Odyssey has a column-mounted shifter, but it doesn't even have a bench seat!

best part is the sport shift, does your wife hit redline on a daily basis? that would complete this thread.

It's JDM yo!

Just kidding, another Oddy fan here. It's the ONLY minivan I'd be caught in. Man, I wish the USDM had a sport shift. I'd buy it, put an intake on it, and it would be so much fun to do long-distance drives in.

Put some rims on that babe and that would complete her. ....and +1 on wanting to know whether you or your wife rev that engine high.

when I do, those damn gerbils keep screaming.

The suspension is soft, so it wallows around. And even in the "sport" mode, the damn thing will shift on it's own around 5500 rpm. No sport here guys. But I do agree some nice wheels would make a word of difference.
