I think that was one of their concept vehicles wasn't it? I don't think it was coming here. The Type-R models esp for the Civic have never been sold here. Only the teg type R was.

That is the Type R concept of the European Civic they already have in Europe. They have had the normal euro civic on both fifth gear and top gear,.......and I kinda like it. Fifth gear also showed that concept type R on one episode when they were covering whatever autoshow it was. I think it didnt look too bad on the show. Im to lazy to go check what episode it was,........maybe tomorrow I will check.

Hatchbacks don't sell well in the US, but they sell well everywhere else. I know they'd sell every one they ship to Canada.

It's supposed to be the best handling Honda ever, including the ITR, S2000, and NSX-R.

The Civic Type-R has always been a hatchback. I would rather they not change that. It's what makes the cars unique. And personally, without the bright yellow color, I like this car for what it is potentially capable of.

I would love it if they did a limited run here the US. If I had the money at the time, I'd plunk my money down for it.

Let Honda sell the hatch and blow away Mazda and Volkswagen. It's past time.

so much hate for such an awesome car. honda civic type-R's were always awesome. its the best handling car in its price range... actually it probably handles and tons more fun to drive than any of our acura's on this board!

its definitly not the prettiest looking thing, but sure would be a head turner. it has its uniqueness as a hatchback and sports an aggressive little car look without being "cute".
