So my friends, I've opened a new chapter today.


I just just got home a few hours ago with my new car. Took some time, but I found what I wanted at the price I wanted so I had to do it.

Yes sir! It does have all the bells and whistles, super great gas mileage, and its a 4 Cylinder.


Its basically the highest model you can get with a 4cylinder. I wanted a touring, but they only come in v6, and I wasn't about that life anymore LOL!


Still doesn't feel like my car yet. Maybe once the TL is gone, and I've transferred all my crap over, then it'll hit me.

That's basically what the S2000 will become now...I'll tinker more on that. The V, to me, needs very little...maybe a little more exhaust...some spacers but for now. I'm good.

Yes! I feel like this car is going to be my attempt at finally being a grown up. The savings in gas and mods SHOULD help ease some of the blow of finally having a car note----something that will take getting used to!

Honestly, I just wanted something with newer tech. I really wanted push button start and comfort access, no more pulling out my keys from my pocket. Another thing was that I felt like it was a good time to strike with the mid model refresh accord. I ALMOST went used, but used accords without navi and some of the features I now have were 20k+ with 30k miles. So i decided to pay a few grand more and get the EXL with sensing and nav brand new!

The accord sports are nice looking cars, but dont have the features I want. They're basically an LX with black cloth, wheels, dual exhaust, and the trunk spoiler. You don't get push button start or leather, and that was enough of a deal breaker for me. I can add the trunk spoiler and the wheels, but you cant add things like comfort access or leather (realistically :wink: )

Haha, nah, its an automatic. which was another reason for moving on from the TL. I love manual on a nice quiet night, but its too much of a hassle with the traffic here in northern VA. And you're right J, eventually I'll get a fun toy for the weekends, and that will be manual. One of my dreams is to get a mint 1990 E30 BMW like the one I had. The timing and that specific car wasn't right, but one day I'll find one :wink:



Played with the car some more on my lunch break. Some of this tech was just coming out when I was selling new MDXs in 2014, crazy. Lane keeping assist with adaptive cruise, I might as well be driving a tesla!

honestly, when the image first loaded I thought it was a Tesla.
Hey man...aside from not wanting a black car...wanting another manual was a big point of contention for me...
but since I have a kid now, and driving around is a lot more stress free in an auto, I knew a daily driver my wife and I could both drive would be smart.
I don't regret it although at times I do wish I was able to manually drop down a couple of gears.

Yeah, some people love them and some hate them. My biggest complaint on the wheels is that the direction of the pattern is different from passenger side to drivers side. I hate wheels like that, and would prefer something with more symmetry.


Good thing is as we all already know wheels are super easy to change. And 2016s don't have TPMS sensors in the wheel so that makes it even easier. Now I wish I hadn't sold my sport wheels which I think go very well on these cars.

They do I think a car can't be sold without it anymore.
I believe in the Accords it gets its reading from the speed sensor. Makes replacing wheels so much easier.
Congrats I been considering one too those accord are super nice you just need the Accord sport wheels in there ASAP

I really, really want an Obsidian Blue Pearl EX-L (2013-15) as a second car!!! So freaking beautiful!!! You know when the 9th gen Accord came out, I saw the commercial, I literally jumped up out of my seat and said damn!!!

Also, is the KBP TL a unicorn because everyone here seems to have one, or is it every KBP TL owner is on here??? Either way, nice color, nice TL!!!

Funny enough...KBP is a rare color...I had only ever seen 2 of them ever. Then I got mine and I literally saw 3 around my workplace and at least 3 other AZ members got them too.
So...I guess it's not as rare as I thought.

I think you just think its rare until you get one and then you notice them everywhere. Ive only seen one KBP in person but theres no shortage of them on azine thats for sure...especialy lately..

Yeah, 2013+ are CVT, so are the new Civics, CR-Vs (2015*), and HR-Vs, but I think that's it... Honda swears to keep a 6 speed auto on the V6s, as well as new turbo 2018 Accord which will be based on the new Civic...

Honda does make an arguably great CVT, better than Nissan, I think, but I hate on them Nissans(Renault) most of the time...

The CVT had issues in early 2013 models, but I believe it was a software issue which has since been fixed for years.... Either way, it's still a great sedan!!!

The sport makes a little more power at about 193hp, I think, plus dual exhaust, the new ones even have those nice 19"s, I hate the standard wheels, with a passion, I prefer the 13-15 design all together, less chrome...

Black is too hard to keep in top shape, although I keep my blue TL paint perfect.. I think the white accords just look amazing. some tint on that and bam. I dont care for the red but I do like the dark graphite silver like q has. And yea accord sport for sure, dual exhaust and 19s make it look much nicer.

hmmm I didnt know they were cvt.. Ive only driven in subaru and nissan cvt and the nissan was terrible, subaru wasn't bad.

Honda supposedly makes the best CVTs from what I've heard!!!

Now the V6 is fast as all heck, for a FWD V6 sedan!!!

One guy on YouTube th83, has had several Accords, anyway, a year ago he posed a cool video of his Accord V6 (2014) doing 0-60 in 5.45 seconds... Google "2014 Honda Accord V6 0-60 Very Cold Weather", something like that... It shows its ability very well...

But still, I just like I4's more most of the time...

So, when you're (she) is ready, drive both, you can't go wrong either way...

Id say silver, but with all of that chrome, white may be best, I like the white as a luxury color more, but it should look cool, never though of the white before!!!

Correct, they still have some sort of TPMS system, but no longer have a sensor in each wheel! I'm pretty stoked about this because I fucking hate TPMS sensors.



Same! I love the styling, when the 13's came out I liked those, but when the 16's came out, I really fell in love. It really looks and feels like a lot more than just a "honda!"

Hahahahah, i originally thought about getting a v6, but in the end I was like if I'm going to be paying more money and taking a car note, then I atleast want to save money on gas. The new v6 gets 21/31 i think, and the accord gets 27/37. That is a big difference. Right now I've put 300 miles on it mixed, and i'm just below half a tank. I used to fill up the TL at around 275mi, with the gas light on. I LOVE the sport, just wish it had comfort access and push button start.


My first choise was Lunar Silver with black interior, then Modern Steel which is what I got, and last was White Orchid Pearl. Honestly, I really wanted the white, but the beige interior was putting me off from it, and then I couldn't find it in stock anywhere. Lunar Silver would have been awesome with black interior, but I couldn't find it. I like the Modern steel a lot, and its grown on me! I'm definitely happy I got black interior though.
