I can't believe I didn't recognize it as a Pantera! Maybe it's the huge rear spoiler and concave wheels or something that threw me off.

Sorta like women with plastic surgery , I think the later Pantera's don't look as clean and natural as the original from the 70's.

specifically its a Pantera GT5S - you can see a non-GT5S Pantera parked next to it, it is devoid of all the 'bodykit' looking stuff.

unfortunately it wasn't taken as seriously as other supercars of the day, I think one of the main reasons was because it had a Ford motor.

yeah the blue one is the more 'timeless' of the two. understated, yet exotic. but I think my nod still goes to the loud and rambunctious GT5S.

Went to Maine a few weeks back...

On the ferry from Long Island to Connecticut:

LR Defender 90

BMW M6 (exhaust in enclosed ferry boat = sex)

Boothbay Harbor, ME

LR Defender 110 (or 130?)

Porsche 356

Downtown Portland, ME

not uncommon but very nice nonetheless

I'm not really a SUV guy but I love the Defender 90. Someone in my neighborhood had a yellow two-door one and I stared at it every time I drove by.

I was behind on of these the other day leaving work. Wasn't sure if it was desirable enough to make this thread. Now I wish I had snapped a pic... Maybe I'll leave the same time as him (her?) sometime again.

No I didnt see a M1, I meant 1M.

With only a 1000 being sold here I never thought I would see one on the road, maybe at something like cars and coffee, but never the road.

And theres something about the 1M that I really like.

Its an exclusive $45k car, whats not to like about that!

I was at BMW North Scottsdale recently to pick up some parts and they had two 1Ms in the showroom - a black one and an orange one. Care to guess the markup they had on the car? $17k+ over sticker. Yep, they were asking a bit north of $63K for the car. Silly.

Matter of opinion of course. Sarlacc thinks my car's the ugliest thing since a pile of excrement on his lawn, but I don't. I've seen the 1M in person, it looks better in person than any picture I've seen.

I love the 1M. It may look a bit goofy from certain angles but it has presence and looks mean as hell. Plus, lightweight (for todays cars) and over 300hp with RWD and a 6MT. Its the perfect car for me - except for the markup and scarcity.

It's definitely not the ugliest car out there, I agree, but that dipping lower beltline looks so weird. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't kick it out of the garage, but there's so many better looking cars out there, IMO of course.

True. For the ~$40k price tag of a standard 135, you could get a well maintained NSX.

If the MSRP is $45k and the dealer sells it for $63k, it's not a $45k car. It's exactly worth whatever some one will pay for it, not what the maker thinks it should sell for.

It doesn't help they were sold in Lincoln Mercury dealers either.

I like the GT5-S, but I think my favorite was still the Si. Very rare model though that we were not privileged with in the states.

I see.....1M is exclusive, but you can understand my excitement for you...I believe only 450 M1s were manufactured worldwide. It's one of those cars you just won't see on the road EVER

An E60 M5? How? I mean two each their own, but shoot.

Anyway, 1M makes me but for what they're going for, I think money could buy a better car. Unless you're buying it for the exclusivity factor.

When I was a kid the local Lincoln Mercury dealer had one Pantera in the dealership. We used to ride our bikes up to look at it from time to time, it sat in the showroom for many months.

For a few seconds is fine. The risk is large amounts of carbon monoxide gathering, but at the size of Lamborghini Houston, it would take a long time to cause immediate health risks.

I've heard the opposite is true specifically for the Aventador. Turns out breathing the fumes gives you Usain Bolt speed and Tom Cruise looks.

Cool I went to the Aventador launch party a couple weeks ago. I posted these in another thread.
