Completely agree.
It's kinda far away in the future, but I'll be sad when fossil fuel-powered cars go away. There's just something about the smell of burnt gasoline and the ground pounding rumble of a big V8. I know whatever technology that eventually becomes the norm will be better/more efficient/friendlier to the environment but still.
The high pitch scream of a sportbike or high revving 4-cylinder like an S2000.... or like that Exige a few posts up.
The banshee wail of a Ferrari, raucous roar of a Lamborghini... etc.

I can't say I agree with you there. We have more than enough reserves to last us at least another 75 to 100 years and when alternative fuel vehicles come into play, the fossil fuels will be used to power the garage queens. As Jay Leno said, "Just as the automobile was the savior of the horse, this [the Honda FCX Clarity] will be the savior of the gasoline powered automobile."
Now I don't want this turning into a political flame war so I'll just leave it at that.

I didn't know we had that much left.... all the environmentalists make it sound like we'll be out of everything in 50 years or so. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised knowing who it came from. Good to know.

Ohh and the night before I was driving to Hollywood blvd, from the 134? Got passed by a GTR, that guy was WOT the entire time even on the regular surface streets...
