The "Photos You've Taken of Exotic/Desirable Cars" Thread

Loved a post I saw ages ago from a guy who was talking about his LR (RR) and said something along the lines of "it can cross water three feet deep, but can't make it to the grocery store without throwing a check engine light." So very true.

And the Range Rover line seems to have the most "Built by drunks on 3rd shift on a Friday" reputation of the LR product line.
Of all the LR vehicles, a Defender would be the one I'd want most, but don't know that I could pull the trigger on one.
Three Wheelin'
From personal experience, my mom had a 2017 or 2016 Range Rover HSE with the Diesel engine. My parents traded it late in 2023 for an X7 because they wanted a bit more interior space with 3 rows.
During ownership, it was mostly trouble free, just a few random issues, such as the suspension raising all the way up instead of going all the way down for easy in and out. It once threw a check engine light related to the diesel emissions system.
‘Oddly enough, the front seats weren’t terribly comfortable for my bottom, and the 2nd row was pretty small for a vehicle that size (it wasn’t the long wheelbase model). Had it not been for those 2 issues, I would have for sure took it off their hands. The ride was sublime, looked really sharp, it was white with the blackout package, highly optioned with 23 inch wheels.
In many ways the x7 sucks by comparison (but it was a good bit cheaper). The seats are definitely more comfortable in the X7 and the interior does have more space, but I preferred the RR ride, the dash layout, all the touch points and the looks.
The x7 door sills are wider than my front porch, the car doesn’t squat when parked (even though it has air ride with height adjustment) so you’re guaranteed to get whatever dirt is on the lower trim/panel on your pants when you get in and out. The RR had doors that went all the way down so that area was A) narrower B) clean. Also on the passenger side of the dashboard, those etched LED marks that finish with X7 look so cheesy to me.
Meanwhile, on the topic of reliability: my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee, barely made it 7 years. The amount of repairs that went into it were absurd.

I started this thread because of how many exotics I saw on my commute in when I worked in Scottsdale. Not quite the same now living in the burbs of Nashville working from home.

One of the guys I will be meeting there has a Porsche but it is a Boxter so not sure that really counts . Another guy that should be there used to have a Vanquish but sold it. He has a 60's Vette currently. I am the poor kid from the other side of the tracks in this group. But they are all great people and super generous.

Yeah, it is insane how many exotics just rolling around the Scottsdale, Tempe, West Mesa and Chandler area. The day I saw the Porsche, Defender and Ferrari in the same parking lot I had just saw another Ferrari a block earlier. This was on Raintree and then Northsight. I will be there again on Friday. It would surprise me to not see any exotics.

Such a beauty. I can't seem to help but get so fixated and just stare any time I see one.

Major photo dump incoming. I've managed to make it out to some events in the last few weeks - Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, and Councours in the Hills in Fountain Hills, AZ.

Outside of the building is definitely eye catching.
This display is in the parking garage as you are heading into the museum.

Too many teasers of that Gullwing in the background of shots

Thanks for posting all the pics, those Pratt & Miller racing Vette's all together is cool.
Guessing that '73 240Z had the Fairlady Z badging put on to mimic the JDM, good that it has Weber sidedraft's replacing the dreaded Hitachi SU CV carb's (which stay sync'ed for maybe a week)
