wow I actually fell for it. I thought he just took the wing off. Been awhile since I have seen an actual SV I forgot what else to look for.
Pretty fucking lame, this is worse than the M badging you see all the time.

The first picture of the CTR doesn't look that bad.

It was impressive in person.
2024 Honda Civic Type R
Already have the JDM badges, yo.
I like the gray. I wonder if I'd like it more without all the red piping. A bit stealthier.

For the last 25+ years people have been switching out the standard black "H" badge for the Japan-spec red badge. Honda finally puts a red "H" badge on a US car and everyone wants to switch it back to the black "H".

I would definitely want to keep the red H badge but I could never get over the rear of the car to desire one.

We've all grown up in the last 20 years & don't need all the flash?

Nismo styling doesn't bother me as much as the rice fanboi penis receptacle between the two exhaust ports

it can't back up shiit. it's slower than all of it's competitors. watch the Doug DeMuro video.
Doug's video was retarded. The car is slower to 60 than 2 cars with more horsepower & AWD? That's hardly enough to say it's not the king of a segment of cars that were never known or built for straight line speed.
What he neglects to mention is Honda has never been a straight line manufacturer; the Type Rs have always shown their performance in corners by being properly balanced vehicles. The FK2 Type R against the RS already showed it held its own. Both cars stayed within' a second or so each other on 6 circuits and of course, the Type R completely blitzed the RS on the 'Ring by 16 seconds.
Don't think for a second Honda took a step back with the FK8 against the RS; it is after all, now 23 seconds faster on the 'Ring than the RS. The comparisons will likely be the same; divided with the RS being a nicer car to drive & the Type R being a more driver focused, funner car to drive.

ah.. you must be talking about his review of the CTR.. I assumed you meant the LFA video.
Do you really take that guy's opinion with any weight. His videos are cool, but he's just some moron who started vlogging after buy a used aston martin right?
CTR went around the ring in 7 mins 43 secs.. name a competitor that did the same.

If you want to go fast in a straight line, buy a Focus RS, of Golf R with the DSG.
If you want to go fast through the bends, buy a CTR.
I think I'd actually look into getting smaller wheels for the CTR. I'd keep the width the same, but 1" smaller diameter and forged, to shed a few pounds. Those 20s have to be heavy as fuck and hurt performance.

So was the last NSX Type R. Slow than the Challenge Stradale in a straight line, but beyond Top Gear, but up lap times within' a second of the Italian, & that includes the 'Ring.
Like I said, the charm of the Type R cars aren't power. It's their handling finesse & chassis setups that overcome their lack of raw ponies.

I would def get an Golf R or RS over the CTR.
Golf R over all in the category.. super sleeper.. plus the tuning support.

me too... Golf R is dope.
I can't remember if Trance updated his thread, but that's what he went with over the Type R.
His original CTR actually just came in and they want $5K over sticker for it....
