some more 917K, notice the spare tire and small chrome lights used to illuminate the "2" to identify the car at night. That large green circle on the side is also a signal lamp for the crew. I missed it but a friend captured this 917K driving through to the course, the flat 12 sounded great.

Bosch mechanical fuel injection pump on Porsche 904 with Swiss-cheesing of the throttle linkages to save weight.
Like today's ECU's where each cylinder gets it's own fuel mixture control with the straight screw below the outlets.
Today it's done with a few bytes of memory.
