I hear ya on the low car, trying to change the oil in my Acura with how low that car is was nearly impossible on my back. I ended up taking it to my buddy's work to use the pit so I could get leverage on the drain bolt which would not come out in my garage. No skids on the Ack at least

Yeah, I had to double wrench the Flex to get enough leverage.
Odds are, I'll go Fumoto on the next car(s) we get.

Tighten to the verge of stripped, right?
Just an odd angle & helps having a bit extra leverage.

I had a scare once from not tightening an oil filter enough. Not risking that again.

She takes the vehicle to the stealership for inspections and oil changes only, and I always check her lug nuts in the parking lot now before she drives it anywhere. I make sure that the shop managers can see me with my tire iron in the parking lot too
Oh I forgot to mention, the wheel that only had the 2 lug nuts, only had 2 lug nuts on the hub! They crossthreaded and stripped one of the studs and stopped, didn't put the other 3 lugs back on the wheel, and gave her the vehicle back that way and let her drive off

Couple small updates, this first one I actually installed these a while back, but never posted. I got these new license plate LED panels to replace the stock license plate bulb holders. A small update, but makes a HUGE difference.
They plug into the stock wedge bulb socket
They come with new gaskets as well.
And here's a before of the stock enclosure, and as you can see the stock screws *gasp* are rusty
And here's the new light installed with fresh new screws
Here's a before of the LED bulb I had in there
And here's the new light panel lit up, these things are crazy bright and I actually have to turn down the brightness and contrast for my backup camera because they drown out the camera at night lol

Another small mod. I've been looking for a different shift knob for a few years, but could never find anything that really looked and felt better than the stock knob. This one just came out and I instantly jumped at it. It's made with the same material and style as a knife handle. I have a strong affinity for knives and constantly carry at least one with me at all times. I was very impressed with the quality out of the box.
Another view before install
A couple befores of the stock shift knob, honestly I have always loved the stock knob and had no reason to change it.
And here's a couple pics of the new knob installed
I took some pictures outside and was fighting with the sun
But I love the look and feel

I keep trying to find "the right one" too. Everything that seems to be coming out checks the "looks cool" box, but seems like it would be a bitch to rest your wrist on.
So far, I think the pre-MMC 5G 4Runner giant rubber blob is the most comfortable.

Yeah, I didn't want the all metal knobs that most places sell, didn't like the look and didn't want to burn my hand in the summer. I had been looking at Tundra knobs which are much cooler but wouldn't give the right fit. I'm happy with this one though

Nice, I also liked the Tundra shifter (similar to your oem) The LED license light is nice too, LEDs are among my first mod on all new cars.

Yeah, I had all the incandescent bulbs replaced within a few weeks of owning the truck, this was just a step up since they just released them

Did my first hand wash / maintenance wash in almost 2 years. She was durty
So much salt
The paint looks amazingly shiny under all that grime
Water spots on the hood, still looks like a mirror though
I foam gunned it first
Let that sit and foam for about 5 mins
Hand washed the whole truck with the 2 bucket method
All clean
Then I hand dried the entire truck
She looking clean and shiny
After she was all dried I hit every panel with speed shine and buffed off. The next day I hit her with a new fresh layer of the sacrificial layer of spray ceramic. I was impressed how even after 2 years with no maintenance wash or spray ceramic how well the water still beaded on the ceramic coating that I did almost 2 years ago now. Here's some shiny pics, it's raining outside

I ran it through a touchless car wash a few times, especially to get the undercarriage, but hadn't done a full hand wash since I was so busy moving and all my shit was packed in boxes. I had to go around and locate my foam cannon and other supplies lol

you mean working from home and actually being moved into your new place over a year ago?
that stopped you from the 25 minutes it takes to swap wheels.
Kinda like washing it...it didn't happen cause you didn't give a shit!
Poor Covid. Tired of it taking all the blame.
