Opel Insignia vs. 4G TL...

Hey guys, I mostly belong to the 3G forums, but I was reading through a car mag from Hong Kong the other day and found this...

Look familiar anyone? It's called the Opel Insignia, look it up on google, the interior is strikingly similar too. Now Honda isn't particularly known for cooperating with other companies in designs, but this is just..... WTF?

I saw it in person (I live in Europe). And believe me it is SMALL. It is rather hatchback size while looking at it in person. It looks good from the front and side view but looks bad from the back (again like small car). And here in Europe Opel is a the worst German brand - even VW is better. It is like Fiat.

The Insignia is more a Ford Mondeo, Alfa 159 competitor...maybe even the Euro Accord...

It's a striking car...without a doubt...we might even get it here as a Buick...

Here's the 2010 Buick LaCrosse...

That's this VXR version that has AWD + 325hp from a turbo 2.8L engine I believe.

Actually, this is the VXR...a lil too aggressive for my taste...more appealing to the younger buyer I'm guessing...

Yeah I actually liek that design, far less obnoxious than the 09 TL. I will give Buick kudos for the 2010 Lacrosse it look lieka sexy car witha nice interior, look at their web site, I dig the blue ambient lighting.

opels are more common outside of the US. i lived in the middle east for 10 years and opels are very common here. its the equivalent of saturn i believe. GM sells saturn in america and opel overseas. however, opel is german made.

haha thanks! power level is over 9000 - keep that in mind.
I think I've seen you around when I was going around with my parents, where my mom commented on a "very nice looking Honda", which I recognized to be a 2G TL

haha say thanks to our mom for me please! I go to Richmond a lot since I live in Marpole. I definitely need a drop though as it looks sort of like a Hummer right now...haha

Opel, as stated before, is a wholly European company that is owned by GM. They also own the Vauxhall brand in the UK. Same Opel, just RHD.

I know there's a thread or three with this stuff in there:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=opel+Insignia

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=opel+Insignia

That should be good.

IMHO, the Opel in the OP's post looks strikingly similar to the 2G Infiniti G sedan.
