Amen. Even so, I would still love to have that.

Yay or nay?
Info from the designer, Bo Zolland:
Info from the designer, Bo Zolland:
Designed at the request of an Australian Volvo dealer who wanted to see what a modern 2 door V60 high performance estate would look like! This design would match up against competitors like the Audi S4. Power is from a tuned version of the V8 used in the Volvo S80. The wheel openings are enlarged by 1.5 centimeters, with the rear wheel opening moved forward for a more harmonious appearance. It also features new front and rear spoilers. This AWD car uses the largest brakes from the XC90.

I sure hope so. As much as I want a wagon, I miss having a coupe. A shooting brake could solve all of my problems! Well, except for my monetary ones

That Volvo in #1563 may be the first shooting brake I've ever liked. That, or it is one of very, very few.

I'm sorry to say this in a wagon thread, but as much as I love that P1800, I'm not sure I'd pay $22k for one. For that money, I'd buy an AP2 S2000.

I think the W124 still had a lot of the bulletproof quality of the prior years, but it did seem to be the starting point of the decline.

If you're asking yourself why anyone would want to graft a Volvo 240DL's wagon roof and hatch onto a Ford Mustang, let us know when you find out. We're asking ourselves the same question.
Okay, so it's not so hard to figure out why someone would want to make a Mustang shooting brake, or "sedan delivery," as it's styled by the eBay seller. It's a classic automotive reverse mullet: party in the front, business in the back; a place to put plenty of gear while still having the muscle car you've always wanted. It's practical, after a fashion.
In the case of this particular example, there are many things to like: the long, low profile; the midnight purple paint; the apparently clean and tidy marriage of Volvo and Mustang bodywork. But looking more closely, there are details that don't quite work: the dated digital gauge cluster; the questionably upholstered interior (is that genuine Naugahyde?); the mini-hearse-like proportions of the rear cargo area.
But under the hood lives a beastly 514-cubic-inch carbureted V-8 engine. For those who think only in metric when it comes to displacement, that's 8.4 liters--as big as a Viper's V-10. The transmission, rear end, steering, and other performance pieces have also been upgraded to sportier standards. It's only traveled about 200 miles since completion, says the seller.
You can find this gearhead's griffin on eBay at a current bid price of $35,100--and only 18 hours left on the auction clock.

as much as i love W123 which was my first car as well i'd rather take w124 beacuse its newer better gas milage and drivability, w123 diesel were slow as hell like 55hp for 2.0 and 3 speed auto. w124 had the best engine offered in '87 only it was 3.0 6cyl turbo diesel, gasoline engines 300E had problems with headgasket(prior facelift), and those after facelift E320 had problems with engine wiring going bad but once replaced it was great... i lost these cars but its really hard to find a decent one, to bad wagon wasnt offered with V8. other than that car was rock solid

wasn't a wagon, but I feel like a dumb ass for being embarrassed by my dad's old 380 SEL (W126). He had this champagne colored sedan, and it was really a decent car. I gave him crap for it sometimes, but he loved that car. I was a stupid teenager anyway... just couldn't appreciate cars like that at the time.
He sold it and got a V6 Camry which he still has to this day.

Vauxhall VXR8 wagon (6MT with LSA) vs. Audi RS6. Tough to choose. Brute force with a real 6MT vs. "Quaaaaaaatro!". First world problems....
