Have any of you S2K owners consider supercharging? I am tempted to ship my s2k to LHT Performance in Florida to get mine supercharged. 482 whp. the only issue is it would cost $2k for shipping round trip as I am in the PNW. $10K total with all of the options I want.
I like the earlier Jeeps...I was looking at one as a daily for the GF...
she's hellbent on getting one one day
She white?

Umm, no. Sounds you'll make the car worse and spend $10k on top of that.

I've considered it and even had 12k to put towards it but ended up using it to pay off the S2000 instead. I even considered using LHT to do the kraftworks kit and had spoken to John on the phone. Heck my s2000 is originally from Tampa Bay. A friend here in KC talked me out of the Kraftworks kit although his experience is with the first gen, he has built and raced multiple s2000s and was well known on S2Ki when he was active. He recommended the SOS kit so I do have a build laid out but don't have the money Only thing I've done is an SOS sport 400 clutch as when I pulled the transmission to replace the rear main seal I saw my OEM clutch was on its last leg . As I have a 2008 LBP, I'm still a little leary about building it as it is more rare so haven't fully decided although I am seriously looking at doing a square setup even if I don't do the full build.
lol, just checking. Heard about the stereotype of white chicks loving Wranglers....and so far has been true. Got a Wrangler parked in my condo garage....who gets out? white chick....
IMO, love the car for what it is and what it does really well...namely, go around corners and turn on every time you put the key in the ignition.
If you have 10K to burn...either pay off the S2000...or put that down on a car that comes from the factory supercharged like a V or a Hellcat
Yes sir...she's Italian...first non Hispanic for me in a long term relationship...I wouldn't mind a Wrangler myself...but we really don't have anywhere to enjoy them down here...unless you
consider going to some muddy swamp areas just TO dirty the thing and then probably spending 4 hours getting the mud out of the nooks and crannies fun.
LMAO...there are so many guys that feel the same way that I'd be shocked if she even had any dust on it.
Yeah man, I'm a lucky fuck...definitely a ride or die type too...and tells me I can't sell the S2000 even having 4 kids between
the both of us.
nice day in the PNW today. installed LHT brake brace. regreased and changed shift lever pivot ball and carriage. if you have not done this, it is a MUST. shifts like butter!
Next on mods: New motor mounts, bushings and Bilstein PSS coilovers. Also, I have oem AP2 front lip but will not install it for awhile. Got UK oem floor mats too.
is there really that much flex in the brake master to warrant that?
looking good, man...shit...white with 70k miles...what a gem!
are you going to track the car?

It doesn't but the brake pedal feels a lot firmer, which I like. Not planning on tracking the car, however, with 73k i am sure my shocks are almost in need of replacement, so might as well pay a bit extra to get coilovers and a 1.25 inch drop.

Nope. I am in seattle! this was next to the Fremont Troll. I've been running into some of your posts on s2ki lol
Everyone loves their PSS9!
I personally have never ridden in a car that rode smoother on coils than the H&R I bought...but he cut me a great price at $700 so I knew it was a no brainer.
If I were doing it again, I probably would have tossed some Espelir springs on stock shocks.

Damn you got yourself a good saving account there.... GPW, low mileage and good condition....and more importantly stock!
Yah but a stock GPW is much easier to sell than any other color..and at a premium too..
Maybe, who knows. This car appeals to a very specific buyer regardless of color. Yes some colors sell faster and for more than others (LBP) but overall, if you're into the $20k+ range, it'll take a while to sell. I'm probably going to list mine on cars.com so that it gets a little wider attention in the national market rather than just craigslist.
Try auto trader too. I dont sell anything on craigslist. I mean if i had 20k to spend on a s2000, craiglslist is the last place i would go to look for a clean s2000.
After much research it appears the best value coilovers is a set of HKS hipermax GT's, so I'll be getting those some time next year.
I do believe GPW commands a higher premium and appears to sell faster than other colors. I've searched for three months daily across the country before booking a flight to Las Vegas to procure this one.
I searched cars.com and autotrader. It is a lot easier than having to search craigslist by each city. GL with your sale! Your patience will reward you as it is becoming harder to find one clean with low miles. I mean just look at what the ITR market is commanding and surely the S2K is a better car!
Don't do it, Buda...
that disaster of a supercharger story I posted above was with kraftwerks.
How far back did you post it? I've been talked out of Kraftworks already but still would consider SOS if I do supercharge in the future.

CL is where I bought my S2000. Mine's an '08 LBP and had 32k miles on it when I bought it from an old couple in Tampa Bay Florida. Paid out the ass for it but with the 50K or so on it now I could still sell it for the same price I bought it for at least. There are still non-car people S2000 owners out there so they'll post up wherever works for them.

As part of my keep it simple build I had planned on going with Koni Yellows (lower perch) with CR springs, square setup, and an adjustable moddiction front sway bar to compensate for the increase in understeer the square setup would cause. My '08 already has the same RSB as the CR so I don't need to upgrade that.
basically he ran into hot start issues...eventually he blew the motor...the guy replaced it with a F20 by accident...
he was making 470hp to the wheels.
Posted up on cars.com. Didn't do autotrader because they charge a lot of money to run the car and I'm not in enough of a hurry to spend money to sell the car. New F/R pads installed, now it stops perfectly and doesn't make the replace pad sound. Now that it's getting nice outside, I'll start putting more miles on it.
