Hey Sam,
, ME?!?!?! Anyway, I bet I know what exhaust you'd love...one that looks like a beefy version of OEM and sounds like a unicorn farting into a jar that Scarlet Johansen keeps in her night table next to all her unwashed dildos!?!?!

Milltek Dual
I've been watching S2k exhaust videos all day.

Favorite so far is Invidia Q300, not too expensive either.

I think you'll regret that.
I had one...it was loud and very drone.
Milltek is not about how much it is...it's about if you can get one. They are discontinued and from the UK. I paid about $1400 after import fees and shipping.

if you want a quality sound, you are going to pay for it. do the uk mod if you just want a bump and to save money. Add high flow if it's not enough for you.

and for the record, mine didn't either...I got a stern talking to for that one but it's still the MOST enjoyable mod on the car, from a driving experience perspective.
The Q300 sounds fine with a cat. Without a cat....different story.
And yes, you do generally pay for quality sound. Find a used exhaust. I found a 500 mile old 70EM single for $750 with test pipe locally. And I made a friend with the guy who I bought it from.
I would leave it stock or UK mod it if you're NOT looking to spend some $$. I'd rather spend $$ on something good than waste $$ on something that's "meh".
Its all a waste in the end because your stock exhaust works just fine. So...why short change yourself?

I'm making my own exhaust for my ITR pretty much as a necessity. 3" pipe. Resonator. Muffler.
Trying to keep it reasonable in terms of sound...but I may not succeed there lol. I had already made another exhaust that was quiet, but the muffler was so big that the fitment was a bit ugly-spec.
I ran out of welding gas like a week or 2 ago when I was last working on it. I got around to setting up my new bandsaw which slices thru this stainless piping like butters. Its nice having an angle index, etc on the cutting table.
Was finna work on it this weekend....but decided to fly out on a dopeass vacation instead. Probably finish it this coming week. Maybe.
Just tacked together here.

I've always been a fan of Comptech exhaust systems, tone under 3k is like an overly seductive version of Barry White, VTEC is him nutting.
The moment I saw it pop up on Craigslist for $500, it was a done deal.

I'd love to buy a used setup but they are pretty much non-existent here. The market for used S2k parts (or the cars themselves) is extremely limited up north. I wish I had access to the same stuff as the rest of you...
Would you guys UK mod or do a Q300?

The stock mufflers look nicer, IMO. I'd UK mod it between those two choices.

I think someone in the United Kingdom did it first, uploaded a video and it was then known to us Yanks as the UK mod.
I won't lie...I love my exhaust, but the UK mod sounded real real nice too. If I was ever in a pinch to put some mod money back in the mod piggy bank...I'd sell the exhaust and have zero problems going back to UK mod. I currently have one uk modded ap2 exhaust in the attic...sitting right on top of one unmolested ap2 exhaust.

sell that shit?
Tks boo. I can't wait to finish it. The new muffler (not pictured) sits so nicely and its "tilt" matches the bumper's upward angle if viewed from the side.
I'm leaning further towards keeping my ITR because I'm *thinking* about becoming a home owner. In fact...I'm still thinking about it after spending a weekend in NYC.
I like renting...and I come from a long line of city dwellers which makes me want to move to a city again.
BUT....it'd be nice to buy a place so I can buy all the dope shit I wanna buy...but haven't bought because I don't want to move it around. A mill. A lathe. A metal laser setup. Omgggggggg
I'm conflicted AF.

And let me know when you have that laser setup up and running, yeah?
I've lived in the city before. Having a house with land and a 3 car garage is much better than a small box on a middle floor in a city surrounded by noise and smell and stupid people.

I think it depends on where you're at in life. If you're in your 20's looking for some fresh poon every week, then the homo wner life is not for you if it means being out in the sticks.
but if you got a woman tricked into being with you long term and maybe even inseminated...then yeah, i agree with Sam. I've always been a homebody...so that's a no brainer for me. I spent a few hours cleaning up the garage yesterday and I am in heaven.

those cheeks...I think I'm going to need to relocate my wheel rack because I'm thinking about getting some of these overhead storage racks:https://www.costco.com/SafeRacks-Ove...100133736.html

We're both in our 30's...and I think she makes more money than I do. Thanks to bullshit liberal progressive ideals. Pffff. Women. Amirite??!?!?!?
I wouldn't live in the sticks, though. Gotta be near something. We were looking at houses close to downtown areas in the burbs. We both want a smaller/older house. If I can get one small enough, I can milk the "we don't have room for kids" line until I'm 80 and ready to regret not ever having kids.
And I don't want land. If I have grass, I'll likely pour concrete over most of it and/or trade my lawn mower for a barrel of grass killer. I feel sorry for dudes that spend every beautiful day walking a zig zag path in their lawn behind a mower.
I am probably the worst candidate for home owner material haha.
