dude...I'm 230 lb and 6'1" and I fit in an S2000 like a glove...even after knee surgery, bending to get my left leg in is the worst part and it's still not unbearable.
Seriously though, my mom's AP2 is much more comfortable than mine because it has stock suspension, plush new RE11s, and the seats have much better cushion.
I daily drove that car for a few days and despite my car having more vroom vrooms, I hated getting back into it
I'm bullshitting around at the dealer... Driving cars seeing how the try to bend you over on a s2k 24k 50k miles.... I've decided that my black ass can't fit inside one that well.
When you're not bullshitting you'll make yourself fit. I remember researching and a few months later I was at a car meet and a guy had one selling. I sat in it and immediately stepped out with the excuse that I can't fit. Maybe because the car had flames on the paint job but my mind was sort of against that particular car to begin with. 6 months later a fellow azine buddy bought one and brought it over for me to check it out. One whip around the block and I made myself fit. Needless to say I had my s2k in my garage 6 days later. It is not the most comfortable car but the fun factor outweighs all the negative points. BTW I'm 6'2" /225 lbs
Sanding & shaping are done! Paint should be going on in the next few days, or whenever I have time.
So, remember that idle issue I was having?
Despite cleaning IACV, replacing the TPS sensor, running gas treatment, etc .. my idle issue came back (it was especially bad if I didn't start my car for 3-4 days or my AC was on).
I was a little frustrated, so I popped my hood and pulled all of my coilpacks to see if any spark plugs were loose and they all checked out OK, but there was a shit load of white residue on the coil pack & spark plug (cylinder 3)
Cleaned the plug chamber with carb cleaner, wiped everything down, installed a new Denso coilpack and it ran it for about 20 minutes w/ the AC on full.
Idle issue is gone.
I don't want to jynx it... lets just hope it's fixed this time.
The interwebs says white residue means cylinder 3 is running lean.
Could this be caused by a bad coil pack? Bad plug?
Usually injector issue I believe. Have you done any injector maintenance? perhaps a can of Berryman's B12 in the gas tank might help. perhaps maybe Cyl 3 injector is clogged (but not to the point of CEL, yet).
If i were in your shoes, a can of B12 Chemtool would be the cheapest approach (costs like 3.50 on amazon?) last time J and I bought them

On the plug or between the coilpack and the plug? If it's on the plug then lean condition. If between the coil and the plug then corrosion issue. Spark plugs are great areas for water to pool and with the amount of electricity that goes through that area, it's a great opportunity for corrosion. Clean it up and put it back together.
If on the plug, change it out or clean it with some fine steel wool. IMO, change them all out if you have a lean condition.

If you're filling your car up with top tier (or other good) gas, it will contain enough detergents in it to prevent injector build up and build up on the intake valve. Most of those cleaning products don't do much to a fuel system run with good gas. If it's an injector issue, it'll usually be because of a bad solenoid in the valve and that's not something the cleaner will fix.
For that little money though, can't hurt.

I mean the coil pack and spark plugs all together. There are only 4 of them.
Edit:
Nevermind you already replaced the coilpack. The white residue could be from hardcore racing and drifting even the spark plugs were in Vtec.
Huge +1, swap them all with the mileage you have. I would swap them every 60k miles, it's not all that expensive to do. Not like you have a V12 Mercedes with two plugs per cylinder.

Interesting, maybe the ignition coil seal wasn't 100%?
I detailed my engine bay by coating it with degreaser & removing it with water, that's the only instance where water would have been under my hood. Can't think of any other way.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the time last night to take out & examine each plug, just each of the 4 coil packs.

Thanks for the information Sam!
Take out and examine each plug. If it's just one plug that's running lean then that points to a different issue than if they all do.
It's easy to get corrosion even with humidity and salt water air like where you live. It doesn't take much. Clean it off with a wire brush and reinstall. Make sure it's sealed up nice and tight.
People always say great things about California cars but if they're from the coastal areas, corrosion is just as (if not more) likely than ones from the midwest just due to the salt water in the air.
IMO, the best ones come from an area with a high desert. Cool, dry conditions are the best.
dude, car looks perfect, man...
bottom line when I fix something on the car is...
I ask myself, if I don't point it out, will someone else immediately notice it.
If the answer is Yes...then tell people to stop looking at my car.
Thanks Dennis!
Honestly, I agree...especially since they don't loose the coolness factor of the oem exhaust shape/look. Same way I felt about trying to mimic it on the my TL aftermarket exhaust.
Love it.
J.
Yeah, honestly, seeing the car with silver wheels again makes me realize I don't want to go dark again...silver it is...

It's funny...
Sometimes I miss how classy the sebring was, although after photographing it I felt it was very bland. The Rio photos so well and definitely demands a ton more attention. I love the car no matter what the color, but I have grown to give the Rio a slight edge. It's such a pretty color...defines the colors well and kinda goes along with a flashy little sports car well.
In case anyone is looking into the exhaust...
top down and top up with external mic vids..
