Damn, your car has REALLY come along. The tints are perfect man!

Now it's time to start focusing on performance mods

I am driving up to LA this weekend and picking up that catback exhaust, I cannot WAIT to install it.

I'll make sure to record some video of it.

Absolutely not. The inspection places dont test the tint. That was what a trooper got on the meter twice, each time resulting in a ticket. Thats why I went lighter on the CL, because I was sick of the hassle. Its just not worth the time and aggravation on a $125 ticket just for darker tint.

Exhaust is the hardest decision to make on a car because you have to live with the sound day in and day out.

I haven't heard sound clips of this particular exhaust setup .. but I figured it's hard to go wrong with Magnaflow resonator, 3" tubing and vibrant mufflers coupled with stock cats .. shouldn't be too loud.

If you ever come across a Comptech system for the Accord coupe, JUMP ON IT .. best sounding / best looking / pretty quiet exhaust system.

I loved mine on my TL.

Three words... 1) Acura, 2) CL-S, 3) Mufflers

Combined with some custom tubing it was by far my favorite exhaust I've had on any car. And it was way cheaper than any bolt on exhaust out there. My .

I would make sure to get something around 2.5" piping so it'll be a viable upgrade in power.

I agree, SuperTrooper's Accord sounded great .

have to go back to the tint shop tomorrow...

anybody else have trouble with the dotted grid at the top of the rear window?

he did a fantastic job on all the glass.. but the tint is having trouble grabbing that very top part...
he said usually it will cure itself in a day or two.. but obviously, mine has not.

^ I have the same exact problem with my rear window .. they tried selling me on a different type of tint that apparently sticks to the dots on the window.

Oh well.

well if the problem is persistent with these cars... im just not gonna bother going by the shop... its unnoticeable from the outside.. you can only see it from the interior....

besides, my rear window spoiler should hang over most of that area anyways....

The only time Ive seen tint stick properly over those dots was on my friends car and the tint shop lightly sanded the dots down to smooth everything out. Thats the reason I went 35% on my rear windows, the tint buts up right to the edge of the dots and matches it nicely without standing out or bubbling (even if you couldnt see if from the outside, I have OCD and it would drive me insane).

Exhaust is on .. all I can say is wow.

Car has gobs of low end torque compared to before, midrange has improved and the top end is going to get me in trouble .

I did a few 2, 3 and 4th gear pulls and the car pulls noticeably harder .. this was in 96f heat, tons of tools in the car and it felt a little heatsoaked.

I'm sure once I remove the tools and drive the car in the morning .. this is where I can really grasp how much power I gained. I'm guessing anywhere from 10-12whp because man, the car really moves when you get over 5000rpm.

I love the way the exhaust sounds .. I like it more than my old Comptech . The highway drone is hardly even there because there's a big Magnaflow resonator right at the beginning of the catback.

I'll post pics when I get a hold of a higher quality camera .. my Blackberry sucks.

Car as it sits right now:

K&N CAI
RV6 J-Pipe
ATLP Test Pipe
3" Catback

Pulleys coming soon .. I will pass on pre-cat deletes.

I will polish up the tips tomorrow and finish the installation. The exhaust is sitting a little lower than it should because I couldn't attach the middle hanger.

Enjoy guys!

Hey Guys

Hey Guys, Shawn here, There are some seriously sweet Coupes here. I'm new to the site and also new to the Honda Family/Import crowd. I just got my 2003 Accord EX-L V6 Auto about a month and a half ago. It was Bone Stock when i got it with 102k on the odometer.

It was a One Owner, and maintained by a local Honda Dealer. I got the full service history for it. It had the Timing Belt, Water Pump, Tensioner, and Oil Seals replaced at 80K miles and the Service Adviser said the previous owner "Maintained the Hell Out of That Car."

I'm in overload as to all of the things I want to do to it. I've done two mods already, the first was an Aux/i-Pod Input that I mounted in the storage bin at the front of the console, along with another Aux Power Outlet I mounted in there as well for My Radar Detector.

The second mod I did was Tint. I went with Wincos Nano-Ceramic 20% all around with a Glare Strip down to the bottom of the Mirror Button on the windshield. Like RockStar21 said, certain angles it looks like Limo, it looks so dark. From other angles you can still see silhouettes through them, but it's really not that dark from inside the car. Living in Sunny Florida, I went with the Wincos film because it has a 99% UV rating like most films, but it also has a 92% IR rating.

I Loved SuperTrooper1969's coupe, and that's kind of along the lines of how I'd like mine to look/sit etc, although Mine's Satin Silver. No Lips or Body Kits for Me, maybe a Decklid Lip Spoiler. I want to drop it about an inch and a half all around, maybe a bit lower in the front. Another Mod I want to do is to paint the roof black. I've seen a couple of SS Coupes with the roof blacked out, and someone on here's 4 door with the roof black and I think it looks sweet.

Anyway, here's Mine....

Sorry for the double post guys, I don't know why it posted twice? I've thought about removing the pin stripe, CicicDrivr, but don't know how to do it without damaging the paint.

It should be on top of the clear coat, and there are products specifically made for removing pinstripes. Ive never used them, but Ive heard good things.

Got any interior pics? The exterior looks pretty damn good.

Thanks RockStar and Civic, Sorry about the Blue text, it was something I used on previous forums. Another Mod I want to do is the Black Housed Lights like you've got RockStar. Where did you get yours? I've seen a set on E-Bay for like $130 including shipping. Does anyone else know whether these are any good?
