The MS6 is entertaining yet practical enough for the family, so it's exactly what I was looking for. And yes, as expected the mod bug has got me, but I've come across some killer deals on used parts so no complaining here!

Car is approaching 110,000 mi . Runs great!

Finally got some new tires and I have plans on ordering a new intake manifold, pulleys and making my car lighter.

Rockstar, any future plans on your 6MT?

Removing floor mats, items in the center console .. owners manual .. you know the usual stuff .

I plan on removing heatshields, any kind of plastic panels, just small stuff .. if I can get 50 pounds out of the car I would be a happy camper.

What wheels do you have on your car? Reducing rotating mass is beneficial. If I had a place to store the interior panels Id strip my car to the bone.

Yep. We both drive a lot. He got his car in mid-June 2008 with 1.3 miles on the clock and is around 102 or 103k miles right now. I got my car 8/8/08 (strange coincidence) with 56k on it and Im at 143k right now. Id be about 10-15k miles higher if health issues had not sidelined me for the first 6 month of the year.

Right now, stock 7G 6mt wheels .. I have a buddy that could sell me some RPF1s .. but I don't have $1000 to throw around at the moment .

That is incredible, does the car still drive like new?

I literally drove the same exact car 6 months ago and I couldn't believe how quiet / comfortable it was.

Yea, it still drives like the day I drove it off the lot - my brother let me drive it the 70 miles back home when he bought it

The 105k service is done. We ran into one issue, the J35Z3 motor doesnt use the same NGKs that all the previous Accords/TLs/CLs uses. It uses the NGK 7751. So I need to order them and install them when I get the chance. Paul (NVA-AV6) started the t-belt job around 930a and I left at 330p. We also took about an hour for lunch, so all in all, about a 5hr job for him. Aside from the spark plugs, everything went smoothly. And I got some new spark plugs for the CL!

So fars hes done (in no particular order):

-105k service
-Tranny drain and fill around 60k
-Many, many oil changes
-Rear pads
-Valve adjustment around 30k (warrantied)
-Three sets of tires
-TSX rear sway bar
-Three sets of wipers
-Air filter

Im not sure if he has done the front pads yet, but either way its getting close to that time. The front passenger fog light shattered and still needs to be replaced, and I noticed today that the driver side light has a crack in it too.

When he first got it I tried to get him to do some mods to it, but I think hes better off just maintaining it like he has been and keeping it until it wont run anymore.

Damn, I miss my Accord...

Civic, valve adjustment at 30k? I think for my 4-cylinder the first one was around 110k. Why so early?
Try to see if you can get him into detailing. Nothing better than an old car with immaculate paint.

Rockstar, good luck with the move! Are you moving out of town?

Wait, wait, wait, wait - WTF happened to your Accord?

And yea, there was a TSB out for an issue with the accessory belt tensioner and when he brought it in I told him to let them know the valves were a bit too noisy. So they did the adjustment on it and its been quiet since.

Ive tried to get him into detailing, but everything I mention seems to be met with a "huh?". He wants to have it polished, but he doesnt have the time or desire to do it himself. And Im not going to do it either. I need to find the time to clean my car up first

Oh no, the Accord's fine, aside from a flat. I'm in college 400 kilometres away from home and didn't take it.

Ouch. I know the feeling of being away from your car. I was without my car for two months this summer while in NY dealing with the surgery. As funny as this sounds, I was depressed because of it.
