^Good tip, thanks for posting that. I have it in my rear wheel wells...and not sure what to do about it. I'll probably go to my body guy and start looking at options...salt usage where I live is wicked in the winter.

But on the brighter side of things...here's an update.

Sorry for the smartphone pics. Haven't done a proper shoot yet.

Car was finished last week. There is still some work to make the motor look nicer, but I'm taking a break. And getting married. lol

i've always been a mesh wheels fan but have always managed to somehow steer clear of them.

considering BBS are EXTREMELY pricey for somebody like myself... these are my next favorite option.
it was between the Lemans or the RPF1's

wheels + tires will run me around $1,700 and for me thats spending a pretty penny.
cant wait!

Same shit to me.

If the build quality isn't any better or worse, I'd just go for whichever is cheapest.

they are about half the price. $1,200 vs. $600

the main differences are universal lug pattern. painted face instead of polished. among other minor differences.

i was already content with spending the higher amount, but somebody suggested these to me.

I don't really mind the universal lug pattern on these wheels, usually hate them. Painted vs. polished face would be enough to sway me though.

Whatever you decide, they'll look great on your car. Made up your mind on suspension, yet?

I think the style of wheel you're looking at looks best on low cars. Can't wait to see the suspension installed, don't forget the alignment after!

Getting them put on this weekend?

It isn't starting from the inside of the lips and eating out. I will definetely treat the inner lips with Rust Check though, probably better to do it before it starts.

Also read about using a razor blade to scrape away the rust. Would that be the best way to remove it, short of taking it to a pro?

Thinking of scraping the rust off with a blade of some sort, then maybe sanding the area, priming and using a little bit of spray paint. I don't care a lot about how that area looks. As long as it doesn't attract any attention, I'm happy. Shouldn't be hard, considering it's usually covered in muck, along with the rest of the car.

Do you think that would get rid of all the rust in that area?
No. Get a quality rotary tool like a Dremel and grind that rust out. It's easier, and, if you get the fine pointed grinder, it will do a better job. Just make sure you got all of it.

I'm a replica wheel guy myself. Not worth the thousands to have the real thing IMO, but I would personally pay the extra for the Linea Corse because I hate the look of the multiple drilled holes. It just makes them look like cheap knock off to me verses made to fit your specific car. Just my I still love the over all look of them though.

This photo has two things I've never seen before: 1) 8th Gen Civic SI wheels on a 6th Gen Accord - looks good! - and 2) 3rd Gen TL-S wheels on a Honda Oddessy lol.

$1700 is a lot of money, but for wheels as nice as those w/tires...I wouldn't feel bad about spending it. My limit so far with wheels has been $1100 w/tires. I like replicas too, but not for all wheels.
btw I love the "motorsport" style as well!

Thanks! May get to dyno it at Import Alliance in July. I need to get better at driving it first, lol.

Painted mudflaps look soo much better than flat black. I always wondered why Nissan and Toyota painted the flaps on their cars, but Honda didn't. Nice work!

Glad you like. The Ody's loaded; heated leather, nav, backup cam, lowered on Teins. It's nice. And I love the Si wheels. Id love them more if they werent a +45, lol.

Ive debated painting mine to match but...I dunno. I wouldnt want it to be a glossy color though, it'd have to be a matte or have a "rough" look to it.

^ Word,

I usually only buy wheels if it's a deal that I feel I can't pass up ..

EX: Volk GT-V 19 x 8.5, perfect condition with tires for $1200.

Awesome, you will not regret it. They look great, can't wait to see em on the car.

I don't know where you live, but some wheel locks might not be a bad idea.
