The Official Honda Accord Thread
^Good tip, thanks for posting that. I have it in my rear wheel wells...and not sure what to do about it. I'll probably go to my body guy and start looking at options...salt usage where I live is wicked in the winter.
But on the brighter side of things...here's an update.
Sorry for the smartphone pics. Haven't done a proper shoot yet.

Car was finished last week. There is still some work to make the motor look nicer, but I'm taking a break. And getting married. lol

i've always been a mesh wheels fan but have always managed to somehow steer clear of them.
considering BBS are EXTREMELY pricey for somebody like myself... these are my next favorite option.
it was between the Lemans or the RPF1's
wheels + tires will run me around $1,700 and for me thats spending a pretty penny.
cant wait!

but what are your thoughts on them..

they are about half the price. $1,200 vs. $600
the main differences are universal lug pattern. painted face instead of polished. among other minor differences.
i was already content with spending the higher amount, but somebody suggested these to me.

I don't really mind the universal lug pattern on these wheels, usually hate them. Painted vs. polished face would be enough to sway me though.
Whatever you decide, they'll look great on your car.
Made up your mind on suspension, yet?

Getting them put on this weekend?
Yup, inner lips. After doing some research, almost everything I've read is on point with what you've said.
The rust isn't eating away from the inside. It rather looks like rock chips and such kicked out by the tires have chipped the panel to the bare metal, and over time these have rusted. It isn't starting from the inside of the lips and eating out. I will definetely treat the inner lips with Rust Check though, probably better to do it before it starts.
Also read about using a razor blade to scrape away the rust. Would that be the best way to remove it, short of taking it to a pro?
Thinking of scraping the rust off with a blade of some sort, then maybe sanding the area, priming and using a little bit of spray paint. I don't care a lot about how that area looks. As long as it doesn't attract any attention, I'm happy. Shouldn't be hard, considering it's usually covered in muck, along with the rest of the car.
Do you think that would get rid of all the rust in that area?

This photo has two things I've never seen before: 1) 8th Gen Civic SI wheels on a 6th Gen Accord - looks good! - and 2) 3rd Gen TL-S wheels on a Honda Oddessy lol.
btw I love the "motorsport" style as well!
Thanks! May get to dyno it at Import Alliance in July. I need to get better at driving it first, lol.
Ive debated painting mine to match but...I dunno. I wouldnt want it to be a glossy color though, it'd have to be a matte or have a "rough" look to it.
Damn Tyler sorry to see
MikeW I saw your Accord in Kansas City. Look in my Flickr album on the second page, I took a picture of it...
