The Official Car Talk Video Thread
^^^ everyone argues that but its kind of a moot point. the LF-A is in the same league as the Enzo, CGT, Zonda, and Reventon. And, the GT-R gives all those cars a good run too. It's not just about speed, its about materials and workmanship. It's about the sound of that V10 revving to 9000 rpm. It's about the fit and finish. There's this new generation of people who are all about cars being the "fastest". And its so damn juvenile. There's more to a car than how "fast" it is.
^^
Speed doesn't make a car better. Case in point; would you rather own this Escalade or this GT-R?

I wonder if this has anything to do with you getting seat time in the Lex
How is the LF-A in the same league as those cars? Because of its price? If the GT-R cost a millions bucks would it be in the same league as those cars? The Manufacturing process of the GT-R is not considered as good "workmanship" as the Lexus?

One of only two such machines in the world. Fibers are impregnated with resin and woven together to form a super-strong bond. This Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) is a composite material that is stronger, stiffer and lighter than steel after it cures. One can only speculate on how much this filament winding machine cost to produce. No wonder the Lexus LFA is in the $400,000 price range.

dunno if embed worked properly, anyways the drifting starts around the 1 minute mark. Nothing super crazy, but still impressive considering these cars are set up for maximum grip.

Also makes me wish we had the Ford Falcon over here
for some reasons, Aussies love the V8 sedans. They come in all sorts of varieties over there, with manual transmissions too.

2012 Corvette Z06 Laps the Nurburgring
A 2012 Chevrolet Corvette with the Z07 chassis package lapped the Nürburgring in 7:22.68, an effort 20 seconds faster than the previous Z06 record and just 3 sec. shy of the ZR1 pace.

NO.

... but if so... where the devil is mine?
seriously... the sweetest cars that I know of personally are owned by mostly self-made guys who have some college at best... one of my patients has owned 4 Lamborghini's and you would never know it... he is super down to earth...

That's nuts.
