Thanks! Ended up ordering it to get exactly what I wanted.

I wish I didn't have to get a new car but I lost confidence in the 06 TSX. Did not want it out of warranty. Frankly, do not want the bmw out of warranty either.

Awesome. That's how I felt about the G, but I guess my options and packages are pretty popular, but the dealer was able to get the exact car I wanted.

Wow, I would figure your TSX would run forever. I remember you've had more then a few problems with it. Oh well.

Can't wait to see some pics!

I've heard the same. Sucks big time. If it weren't for the HPFP issues, I would be in a 335ix 6spd instead of the TL.

More problems and more of that uncertain feeling than I care for at this point in life.

Now, the BMW may not be a step in the right direction for reliability, but the 3 year warranty will do just fine... Plus, I think I am going to really like the car.

Yea if you going to have a car with reliability issues then at least make it one that is fun to drive.

Last night i was bored and started reading up on the new S4. Looks sharp and who can not like a supercharged v6. Well, it too has its own issues. Guess their water pump failing is as common as fuel pump failing on the 335i. D'oh.

Maybe it's still early to say, but at least Audi released a metal version of the water pumps to replace the earlier plastic version. So far, those with the metal replacements seem to be ok. Unlike BMW, they kept saying the new version of HPFP fixed the problem, but there are still failures in 2010 models (4th model year).

I put my blizzaks on over Thanksgiving and then we had our first snow last week. Even with RWD i felt no issues. The tires have amazing side bite.

Was just told that my 335i should arrive in Oxnard on 12/29.

One week after that I should be driving it.

I don't know why the container ship can't just sail to Phoenix directly...

Fellas,

I'm looking to dump my Si and get something a bit more mature. I dont mean that disrespectfully to any Si owners as it's a great car, I just want something more.

I'm looking to get a used BMW by fall of next year. I really want a 550i but I'd consider a 3series also. If I go used, are they typically reliable? I have a DD so I wouldn't be abusing her with my daily trek.

I forgot I have the residual heat feature in my car. It keeps my car nice and toasty while I run into stores to make errands! It's great in these 30 degree temperatures.

Maybe we'll have that earthquake we've been waiting for... California will detach itself from Arizona and you'll have yourself a port to dock that sucker

That's one of the features BMW cut out after 2009 in the E9x. Those guys with newer cars don't have it.

It's OK, I leave my cars running if I just run in to get gas or groceries... Doesn't everyone?

It's a feature on the car that uses the residual heat from the engine to keep the inside of your car warm for a little while.

I'd rather have the sync button. I never use the residual heat button, but commonly find myself adjusting the passenger side temp to match the driver side.

I also haven't used this feature yet. I guess it's not that cold yet here in SoCal. It'll be in the 80s this coming Sunday.

On the other hand, I've used the park car ventilation, and it's awesome for hot summer days.

How does that work? Roll down the windows?

You set the time for the ventilation to come on, and it'll blow air into the cabin up to 30 minutes. So for work days, I set the time to about 20 minutes before I leave for work. By the time I go out to the car, most of the super hot air from sitting under the sun for most of the day will become "cooler".
