I'm thinking about getting a custom license plate for my car. I'm thinking about going with:

HPFP-FTL

What does everyone think?

Took my car in for service today because it was making a knocking sound. Turns out the engine mount on the passenger side is completely broken and the noise I'm hearing is my engine rattling around. They quoted me a price of $1800+ taxes to repair. FML.

My 335i finished production today and will spend the next four weeks on a boat to the US. Then one week or so to the dealership and then in my hands. Woot.

I've been wandering around car lots lately. Today I saw an 07 328i with 51K miles for $19,900. Absolutely clean, showroom condition.

The xi did just fine with our snow last week. With the all season tires, we have a lot more confidence in the car. The stock summers were worthless!

If I were wicked excited about it, I would be too. Rather, I need to get out of the 06 TSX and this was the best option. I have a feeling I will grow to really like the car, but as of right now, it was more of a necessity (and a little frivolity) than a "Cool I am getting a new car!" moment.

I'm a life-longer member of AZ but I'm curious to know what's the best BMW forum to lurk on? I wanna get a used 550i (preferably a 2008) in 8 months or so. I just wanna read what I can read and see what I'm getting myself into.

Finally got my Neutral Idle Control fixed. Dealer pushed me the latest software, which also messes with the HPFP startup sequence.

Finally, my car works.

It's this kind of thing that crosses the 335 off my list completely.

As many frustrating issues that I have had, the car is still my most favorite of all I've owned.

Now... Let's see what happens this time next year if something breaks and I'm out of warranty.

Summer tires in snow, XI or not, are worthless. Not made for that weather.

Perish the thought.

I know what you mean though. I had a 325 a loooong time ago, and I still haven't had a car that I've enjoyed driving as much as that car. That 325 didn't really have big issues...just a lot of lights burning out.

I'm just not in the frame of mind to take my 50K car to the dealer for fuel pumps, electrical..... It's all been said before.

And thats a groupbuy price!

Hard to compare, i had 20inch summer tires. The snow tires are bouncy and dont handle all that well. If i drive aggressively then the traction light is always lite. But it does well in the snow which is what i cared about.

They a very popular winter tire if that helps.
