Dang Kam! I am with you though, I don't blame you for parking your 1st Gen and 3rd Gen away from others. There is nothing wrong with wanting to keep your stuff nice. There are a million other ways that your car can be damaged (road debris, etc). Why not try and take care of your ride and keep it from certain damage? People just don't care these days.

Plus, it says a bit about what you think of everyone else, doesn't it really? Maybe, maybe not, but the perception is that the other cars are somehow lesser.
I do differentiate my car, I'd like mine to remain dent free, unlike everyone else's.

I love cars!
Hey, that's your choice. Continue to be a magnet, if you want. I think it's a silly practice. I'm about to buy a new car, and I simply plan to use sensible judgement when I park.
Whose car are people more likely to single out to get keyed or squeezed in?

Just reading this thread this morning has made me so upset. I can't stand to see people's doors get dinged, let alone my own, and this one was obviously done on purpose.
It used to stress me out so damn bad. Like I can't believe I have to share the road with people. Not just door dings. Shit like shopping carts, and people on the actual road. I've washed my car so many times only to get stuck behind some truck who is dumping dirt and grass clippings all over my hood with every bump. Idiots careless enough have things fall off the back of their trucks. I was once behind some tool whose car was actually spilling gasoline all over the road as he drove. I just possibly totaled my TL last week because some hit a damn fireplace LOG in the middle of the freeway and I swiped them at 75 mph. It just frustrates me that people are so careless, and they're just going about their day in bliss, when every action they do causes me a coronary because I actually care about my car.
People have done the same thing to me as in TC's picture. And I don't even really park out in BFE. I park towards the back where there are few cars, and even then, it seems like 90% of the time I come out of the store and some POS is right next to it. It's not some superiority thing. Geez, if someone thinks my 7 year old (and usually dirty) TL is somehow more superior to their car, or they think I think so, that's their problem. I just don't want any more dings and scratches on it than it already has. I'd act the same if I was in a damn Yaris.
Fact of the matter is, I think a lot of people are idiots, and their cars are real pieces of shit, every single day. A lot of those people probably think I'm some sort of stuck-up dick with an entry-level luxury car. All that's fine. I never act on my anger. I never go and physically fuck with their property. That's what this person did and that's why I'm upset.
