If i had an idea for a custom grill (simple design), and i sent you a grill frame and all the parameters, would that be possible?

Dude seriously if you ever feel like selling or donating your brain, please let me know, i will be the first one to take it!

Btw what time of material is this? I see you put that white thing to cover the wholes, etc.

Fleece...he mentioned in one of the posts. PS, I'm honored you mentioned me in your creation of this thread. You are a very skilled and talented dude...I'd hate to see you work for anyone but yourself. Being self taught like this should make nobody money but yourself.

I would sell my brain, as long as I am given a brain in return. Then I will use that brain and reteach myself everything, meaning that anyone can do this =) and yes it is fleece, ponte may work better, never used it, but it stretches easier.

No problem, you can pay me later . Anyway I will have to invite you back over. As of recent I have never had so much work so consistantly, so I need to knock it out. I am sure it won't be long until I get a bumper.

Customer came to me in need of a RARE Molding off her car (won't say the car, not sure if it is a secret) that she cannot find anywhere. I didn't promise her anything because I had no clue how to do it or if I could even attempting do a molding, because I knew nothing about it a week ago, but a special thanks goes out to the fiberglass forums, I picked up some great pointers, and hey...youtube worked as well!

I had practiced on a couple small trim pieces of my own, then I was ready to give this a shot, it worked out very well since the sheetmetal acted as the flanging.

I will let the pictures do the talking. The final piece needs to be shortened to fit the driver's side fender, I took a mold of the passenger's rear quarter panel trim panel since they are identical in shape, just longer. Once the car rolls in this week I will be able to trim it down to reach its final destination, then the shop that painted her car will finish painting these.

Wow, you have been working, you lost weight! Good job!

PS...I wouldn't mind coming by and just shooting the sh*t, or give you a hand with anything you're working on. Wasn't just there to soak up your knowledge and trials and tribulations, I actually enjoy being around anything and everything automotive.

I should mention these pictures are in no particular order lol. I was looking at that picture thinking how much younger and skinner I was 3 years ago.

actually if you come over my house and see my mini fridge you will find a liter sized water bottle and a full array of soda that hasnt been drank since you came over last. I have been real good about not drinking the soda. I maybe have one soda every week or so.

Well, my uncle got a kidney stone over the weekend...he says worst pain he's ever endured and he says it's attributed to drinking a lot of soda lately. So...you know, keep on keeping on!

Went to my buddy's house on 186th today for the Giants game...should have swung by!

Hope you're good man!

Just let me know, man...like I said, I enjoyed giving you a hand. Even if it's resin work. Then again, you're like me...you probably enjoy working in peace quiet and solitude.

Talking Dented Bumper Cover Repair Video, ES350

I will add it to my thread, but I wanted to create a separate thread so you all can find it more easily for reference.

Steven authorized this "master" thread to keep everything in one spot and to prevent too many topics from cluttering the forum... so merging the ES350 into this one.

Thanks

Yea thats fine, however I specifically made that video to teach about these type of repairs, so I hope it doesn't get lost in the mix

^ I doubt anyone is going to gain your skill set by watching a 15 min video. Seems more like showcasing your work... which is fine as you do great work... but if you want to teach you may want to open a shop and charge folks to learn. Otherwise, just seems like advertising to me...

And don't worry, there are several different ways to search which will yield the proper results should someone be looking for that vid. But given the title and intent of this thread, pretty much anything you post can go in here. Keeps it clean and all in one spot. Once someone is in the thread, they can even search within the thread itself... so nothing should get lost...

I seriously doubt I am advertising to paint someone's bumper in Cali or NY or anywhere else our members are located. Listen to the video, I have laid everything out in the video to help out members aspiring to learn more, that is what our forum is all about right? I have gotten many PMs requesting information on how to do certain things. If you watched the video, you would hear that I am a teacher by carrer, I enjoy teaching and helping others out. Please watch the video if you haven't already
