1. M45 (new HOTTNESS)
2. RL (very close 2nd)

.
x. GS (old and outdated exterior)
but, i think the SH-AWD RL will be a bit cheaper than an AWD M45....so if it was my money, i'd prolly take the RL

i think maxima copied GS's Rear...GS's ass looked like that 4 years ago.
The RL looks do nothing for me. The inside is cool but not 50k car cool.
The M45 looks good, but resembles a Passat really. Inside is great.
The GS looks good but thanks to the knock-off Max, no longer looks original. I'm not exactly head over heels over it (new GS looks). The inside is well, a Lexus.
You know where my money is going. Infiniti 2nd. I would test drive the RL but unless they are not like 8k off MSRP like the current model, I don't think so.

I keep up on my Automotive News (thanks to Gavriil and a few other contributors) and I ... have heard nothing really concrete in terms of release dates for the new LS _OR_ the new M45. From the looks of it, Acura will beat both Lexus and Infiniti to rushing out their luxo sedan.
Another note: it's a little off center to compare the M45, GS430, or 545i to the upcoming RL. 95% of the 5 series' and GSes that I see on the road are the GS300 and the 525 or 530. The upcoming M45 will likely follow the regular price upping that Infiniti has been performing on all their models, i.e. it'll be out of the RL-GS300-530 league.
Now, for my personal comparison of _somewhat_ similarly priced (when optioned similarly) vehicles:
1) RL - I like the understated look. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to modify it much but I wouldn't be looking to do so. A couple of suspension upgrades and a manual tranny will keep me happy. Also, it will be the best priced of the bunch (similarly optioned) and most likely the best V6 engine as well. If the AWD is all it's cracked up to be, it'll make for a great car.
2) 530i - Call me a whore, but the new 5 has grown and grown on me, and that M5 design threw me over the edge. This would get #1 cause it looks & performs great, but BMW pricing is too high + I don't much like the status shit affiliated with it.
3) M35 - Good exterior, (seemingly) beautiful interior... lets just hope it makes production in time to compete well.
4) GS330 - I really think it's not very good looking. The profile is nice, rear is bad, front is mediocre, and the interior (although I'm sure it's plush) seems too boring for my tastes. I like more tech.
The E320 wouldn't take #1 on my list but the E320 CDI certainly would. And it's about the same price as the regular 320. Better mileage than a 4 cyl Accord and typical diesel power... 369 lb-ft @ 1,800- 2,600 rpm.

None of them are perfect, they'll all probably look nice in black, with some tint and new wheels. Would have to test drive them all and see some comparos on performance before I could really decide.
