New ride: Suzuki Grand Vitara- Wow!

For the past week and a half! It's a '06 V6 4x4 and I love it! Of course, it's a rental but I am extremely surprised at the driving experience/feedback, and interior quality. I must say, I like the interior better than my 03 4runner Limited that was loaded.

The car has 10K miles on it and not a single rattle. Sirius radio that plays MP3's and WMA's- very impressive for such a cheap car. The seats are very comfortable and I have no problem on my 1 hour commute everyday. The 4wd is full time and a nice bonus. I haven't taken it off road because I didn't get the optional insurance but from what I have read, it's pretty capable. Gas mileage seems to be decent. The 2.7L V6 is powerful enough without drinking gas like my GTO.

So, if anyone is in the market for a small SUV, check out the Grand Vitara. Supposedly, Suzuki quality has been stepping it up. I was pleasantly surprised and that's why I'm writing this short review.

On a side note, I had a G6 for two weeks prior to getting the SUV. I hated it! It was pretty much base and had rattles and finally a squeaking front end that was unacceptable. I traded it for the Suzuki and I'm happy I did.

These are stock photos but mine is pretty much the same- in light blue. I get a lot of looks on the road and people seem to like it.

One was pacing behind me in my Murano on the way down to DC last weekend. The GV is definitely one of the nicer looking SUVs on the road.
